I forgot how painful the ending to vsmp is for Apo. The whole time she’s berated and quick to violence cause no ones been nice enough to her for them to trust anyone.
Cleo follows their strict little code and she’s quick to judge Apo for their perspective on what happened to Apo instead of what actually happened. Now I know Apo’s communication skills are… iffy but girl did not deserve that. And don’t get me wrong, Cleo’s video was gut wrenching and so damn sad but you did my girl Apo dirtyyyyy.
Ren is really trying his best with Apo and is actually quite nice and caring but he cannot stop his “vampire racism”- He keeps saying their souls are lost as soon as they turn and that there is darkness in all the vampires eyes. Like, you have a vampire ally RIGHT THERE and most of the vampires were turned against their will(coercion is not consent!!!!) so it’s not their fault their “soulless” and bloodthirsty now
Apo keep telling Pyro and Shelby that they could’ve stayed in town and that they still could, or even just to talk but they push her away - “it’s too late”.
Martyn is actually nice to her and talks to her again, even letting her drink from him. Apo opens up about their turning(and then gets rudely interrupted by Cleo and cause miscommunication :[) and they’re almost like friends again…. AND THEN HE FUCKING DIES- the only one who cared, the only one she could trust, and now his death is getting blamed on them.
Scott Goldsmith. This fucking guy is basically tunnel visioned on Apo whenever they’re anywhere nearby. (Now, Scott was willing to give Apo a chance a few eps ago BUT GOR RUINED BY OWNE THE RAT BASTAR- cough cough, I mean I wanna focus specifically on the finale). The dude’s gunning for her and suddenly he’s sick of fighting and helps make a plan for minimal deaths. He then gets praised for the bare fucking minimum- “I’m trying to turn a new leaf” YOU BETTER FUCKIN BE- but it still won’t erase what you’ve done. Pearl laid it out reasonably but then Sausage goes “a redemption arc :D”- the one who started all this, the one who made her a vampire, a monster, praised for the BARE MINIMUM RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER
DONT FUCKING GET ME STARTED ON SAUSAGE- WHAT EVEN ARE HIS MOTIVATIONS???? HES JUST THERE TO CREATE AS MANY PLOT TWISTS AS (IN)HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO MAKE HIS FUCKIN ATORY MORE INTERESTING. HES PERFECTLY HAPPY AS A VAMPIRW BUT GOES TO TOWN TO TELL THEM HE WANTS TO BE HUMAN AGAIN AND TRIES TO CONVICE EVERYONE TO KILL APO BC “they would rather save me than you”(-Sausage to Apo). YOU BLAME APO FOR ALL YOUR PROBLEMS AS WELL AS THE DEATH OF REN AND MARTYN(APOS BEST FRIEND BTW) AND YOU FUCKING CALL HER A MONSTER FOR TRYING TO SURVIVE??????
And then they all criticise her for being in it for themself EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE ELSE IS AS WELL- there’s no reason she had to be poked and prodded throughout this episode. Did she make mistakes? Obviously. Did she get what she deserved? NO! She got so much more than what she deserved
