ok it has started to like really bother me how many ace attorney fans will go "why does maya not simply just channel [insert dead character here]" because its SUCH a major part of her characterization that channeling spirits is fucking DIFFICULT and maya spends a lot of time struggling to improve on it and feeling self conscious that it doesnt come to her easily!! up until the final case of t&t the Only spirit shes been successfully able to channel is Her Sister, who she struggles to channel on a consistent basis, and the second spirit was Also a relative. and channeling that one put her life in danger. its just straight up Baffling how many people will play these games and then with their whole chest say "why doesnt maya simply do the thing she has a big internal conflict about being unable to do" like what are we even doing here
in my heart i don't believe apollo justice knows or gives a shit about gender. in my heart i believe he would transition to whatever isn't his agab simply because the paperwork is alluring to him. in my heart i know klavier says he's nonbinary and apollo goes what does that mean and klaviers like "[ugh] neither man nor woman" and apollo just says "ohh like me then" and klavier has the rest of his life to puzzle that one out. in my heart apollo justices gender is lawyer

Happy apollo justice timeline!! I was thinking of holding onto this until turnabout serenade timeline but then realized thatd be in july and hell nah 🔥 first full color comic page in. Idk how long. But it feels good to actually accomplish smth and see how my comic style has changed

Notes abt the comic/paneling/design/wtv:
- klavier's first box is pink, turns dark purple, then turns pink/warm orange again at the end. Reconciliation of "both sides" of klavier ie how he was always genuine and that he was always himself
- the bottom panel is supposed to be shaped like a guitar ie klavier's guitar that caught on fire
- fire for passion/emotion, like how a physical object (guitar) cant contain the full strength of passion resulting in burning
Abt gavins + how it ties to the comic:
I feel like a lot of ppl(? Idk my perception is warped bc i dont browse a lot) like to use this part of turnabout serenade to draw kristoph and klavier parallels. And on a surface level i can see where it's coming from but to me it's like.. well yes but actually no
Bc kristoph would never let someone see him as smth less than perfect(?) Or like Kristoph always controls everything abt his perception
He's polite and handsome and cool! Someone anyone would admire or want to work for, and only he knows the things he says are passive aggressive insults. But it just flies by bc everyone is smitten by his image
While klavier doesnt necessarily to hide his "imperfections" (embarrassment and anger isnt the same as hiding) He lets himself be mad and be seen when he's mad. Hes not worried abt "losing control" bc to him the pursuit of music or truth is tantamount and everything else is secondary. He's just himself, and if he's angry for missing a cue then he's angry. He doesnt try to hide or placate or fake his emotions
So the fact that klavier let himself be seen by apollo and trucy when he was less than perfect/not matching w his image is perfectly telling of how unlike kristoph he is
This is all just my reading anyways it's probably not supposed to be read into that much but idc 🔥
And thats why in the comic apollo is like i like this honest prosecutor gavin bc 1. Unreliable narrator apollo (klavier was always klavier. He wasnt trying to be smth else) and 2. it's like a further confirmation that klavier is not kristoph, klavier is his own person. And maybe that person is someone worth looking twice at yknow.. The smoke from the fire makes hearts too btw lmfao. Me when im on the nose. This isnt necessarily klapollo in the sense that it's romance being depicted but it was drawn and written w a klapollo heart so be free
