Evil transgender tip #9 read up on intersex people. A lot of trans and intersex struggles overlap and solidarity is important.
I honestly do think that doing HRT is really brave. because it means you're not giving up, and you think there will be a future for you
im being so serious when i say this but we need to bring back the "my genitals are none of your business" "if gender is whats in my pants then my gender is some loose change" mentality from the late 2010's because too many people on here are openly flirting with exclusionary people who spout enbyphobic rhetoric. stop caring about what people's agabs are you assholes. they literally mean nothing. they're not a zodiac sign or indicative of people's character. you are not wholly pure or wholly evil because of your assigned sex. you're just a person.
"what genitals do you have?" Is sexual harassment regardless if its from a security guard or a chronically online furry
Some state Republicans are already dismissing the findings.
Two years after being tasked with commissioning a review of medical evidence surrounding gender-affirming care for trans youth, Utah’s own state health department has concluded that trans healthcare bans “cannot be justified.” The Republicans who commissioned the study aren’t too happy about it.
Back in 2023, Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed a bill that placed an indefinite “moratorium” on doctors prescribing gender-affirming care like hormone therapy and puberty blockers to trans youth. That bill ordered the Utah Department of Health and Human Services to compile their report in order to produce recommendations for the state government on whether or not to lift the moratorium.
This week, the department delivered their long-awaited, over 1,000-page report — which is dated August 6, 2024 — to Utah lawmakers. The report’s authors found that “the consensus of the evidence supports that the treatments are effective in terms of mental health, psychosocial outcomes, and the induction of body changes consistent with the affirmed gender in pediatric GD [gender dysphoria] patients.”
The authors added that “the evidence also supports that the treatments are safe in terms of changes to bone density, cardiovascular risk factors, metabolic changes, and cancer.” Trans youth who had received gender-affirming care were within the bounds of normal, non-pathological ranges for these conditions.
y’all this is huge. please don’t “water is wet” all over it! I understand that we all already know this… The point is that the world doesn’t know or care or believe and so these studies really fucking matter!
a couple terfs in the notes are mad at this solid proof what helps kids, so reblogging to enrage them more and highlight how they are just as fascist and dangerous and fundie as republicans and trad wives 😘 hope they choke while trans people receive love
official anti terf post
one thing i do love about being obviously trans is seeing the unbridled wonder at my existence in the eyes of a child whose parent is staring at me like they're going to kill me once we all leave the store
i existed in front of your kid and i looked happy and there's no putting that back in the box
If you have bodily autonomy, then there is always a chance that you will do something to your body that you will regret. This is not an argument for taking that autonomy away.
There is a much, much higher chance that someone who is not you will do something to your body that you regret.
let's hear it for the nonbinary folks who:
don't present androgynously
use "binary" pronouns in any capacity
identify partially with a binary gender
have a "gendered" name
don't experience body dysmorphia
don't experience gender dysphoria
DO experience gender dysphoria/body dysmorphia but aren't sure what gender or body would suit them
just experience body/gender apathy instead
can't be open about their gender identity yet
you're all absolutely valid.
don't ever feel like you're "not nonbinary enough" because you absolutely are! 💖
"The nonbinary afab who goes by she/her, dresses femininely, and uses a push-up bra when I—" when you what? What's wrong with her?
Is she not nonbinary enough for you? Is the way she experiences her queerness and how she presents not perfect enough for you? Nonbinary people don't owe you androgyny, right? So why is she the exception? Why does she have to hate herself to appeal to your standards? Why is she any less trans—any less worthy of respect—cause it's "not visible"? Queer solidarity my ass. Don't spout this bullshit on Pride, man.
This, but also for enby amabs going by he/him and with hairy chests and beards
this poem is about being nonbinary.

Non paywalled article:
I started a new remote job last week, and I'm the only genderqueer person at the company (and the first person who uses neo pronouns that anyone on my team has ever met, apparently).
So far:
Manager carefully wrote down spelling and pronunciation of my pronouns and told everyone on the team to respect them.
Coworker apologized privately for misgendering me (I hadn't told her yet) and said she will practice.
Guy on another team valiantly tried to use my pronouns and ended up saying something like zirzs-zhizz (I DM'd him and thanked him for trying and linked him to a practice site).
Teammate told me he has written out my pronouns and how to use them in a sentence and literally taped it to his monitor so he can practice.
Teammate also referred to me as compañere after I linked to a comic about gender-neutral endings in Spanish (whole team except me + 1 other person speaks Spanish as first language and they held all meetings in Spanish before the two of us started).
I am so stoked that people are actually trying. 💜🤍💚
It's important to remember this kind of stuff, especially with the world the way it is now. When i started my current job and i told HR about my name and pronouns, she called me to ask which locker room i wanted to be in and told me where all the neutral bathrooms are (which is all of them except the locker rooms).
I've had to come out to my team a couple times because of new hires and whatnot but every time it has gone well. People aren't perfect but they try and they correct themselves. I usually just get nods of understanding and a couple of times people have asked me questions to understand better.
When one of my employees misgendered me despite me directly correcting her and I documented it, the site director texted me at MIDNIGHT to apologize and assure me that he and HR would handle it. The operations manager sent me a similar email the next morning.
We aren't alone. People care. People understand us and are on our side.
i was starting a new job, and before i went in for my first training in the afternoon, i talked to my mom on the phone. she was very excited because a nonbinary person who used they/them had just starting coming to her kungfu classes. "i got their pronouns like a pro because of you, so i got to surprise them with this 60 year old lady being super smooth with their pronouns."
later at my onboarding, a younger coworker surprised me by asking for my pronouns (i hadn't yet considered whether i wanted to be out at work) and i automatically replied they/them. my new boss, standing next to me, went "oh excellent! my youngest is nonbinary, i got this."
not only is people making the effort for you special and beautiful, you're also making life easier for those who come after, in a beautiful pay-it-forward loop-de-loop of pronoun teaching
I think cis people should also be their gender of choice. Like, if you're a man, you should get to really enjoy being a man- have fun with it! If you're a woman, take the parts of womanhood that really deeply make you happy. If being a little androgynous or ambiguous or hidden is the part that really makes you happy, you don't have to be trans for that. If you wanna lean really hard into being femme or masc- do it! You have one life in your body, do what makes you happy. Ditch the stuff you don't like.
My sinister queer agenda is I think that everyone should be the gender they like in the way they like it.
Ok i cried a little .
tried to vent in a trans space about how, as a trans man who’s been on T for a long time (over 7 years now), i have noticed that the more i pass as a man, the less welcomed i am in queer spaces unless i go out of my way to feminize myself. and how that sucks! and it’s isolating!!! and it feels horrible to see ppl who used to like you and be close to you drift further and further the more masculine (& therefore more comfortable in urself) u become…
only to get ppl replying to me and saying “well if you dressed more fem then ppl wouldn’t be intimidated by you. you signed up for this”
i’m sorry but i didnt sign up for social isolation when i transitioned, i signed up for gender euphoria and comfort in myself and my life. and i had hoped that the ppl in my life would be able to see how much joy that brings me and continue to love me.
i need ppl to realize that telling trans ppl to change the way they present to make other ppl comfortable with their gender is fucking transphobic. it’s transphobic when it’s telling a trans woman to dress more femme or feminize her voice so she doesn’t ‘intimidate people’, it’s transphobic when it’s telling a trans man the same. it is explicitly and inexcusably transphobic and it is literally never okay. trans people belong in queer spaces. period. there is no dress code. we belong there bc we built those fucking spaces.
would also like to add that as a fat, balding, very passing bear of a trans man who DOES dress and present very femme, the whole "if you were more femme people wouldn't be uncomfortable" thing doesn't even fucking work for me because i pass as the Wrong Kind of feminine man. i'm not a skinny little 20 yr old twink, so it's gross and offputting when i crossdress, but if i go full masc i'm even more offputting, and even if i out myself i still get Looks or am treated coldly lmfao. you're only allowed to be a cute little genderbending boyprincess if you're palatable: thin and pale and hairless and harmless. i've said it before but the root of this problem, and the problem OP faces, is that queer people need to get the fuck over their fear of people who look like they might have a penis because it is isolating to trans men and fucking deadly to trans women. it's all "gender is fake you can do whatever you want forever" until you set off too many Penis Haver alarms and suddenly you're treated like a loaded gun. anyway butch tgirls and tboy fembears i love you
It's also not, like, strictly about having a penis. I'm very out in a lot of progressive/"trans friendly" spaces, and even those where folks have known me before and throughout my transition still treat me with discomfort and isolation the more I present masculine- and especially when I assert my manhood. These are people who know for a fact that I don't have even a phallo dick! Every single cis woman who I considered a lifelong friend pre-coming out no longer speaks to me, and hasn't in years, and that started basically the moment I started going by he/him pronouns instead of they/them.
The last time I saw my closest (cis woman) friend, I expressed my excitement about the changes I was seeing only a couple months on T- when I was very very close to the Skinny Androgynous Soft TBoy "ideal"- and she got visibly uncomfortable and said, "I don't think it's doing that much." I haven't heard from her since. It's been 4 years.
This isn't to dismiss the previous addition either, and I think having a penis- or even someone thinking you could- causes this reaction too. Just to corroborate & widen the scope.
I think the reaction has a lot to do with the way (white) cis gender-conforming womenhood is associated with victimhood and lack of agency under patriarchy, and masculinity is associated with agency in a way that makes one "dangerous", especially if they deviate from the rigid patriarchal ideal of white, abled, thin/fit, cis, gender-conforming (etc.) manhood. Feminist and queer spaces tend not to deconstruct that, especially when they lean white-centric.
this video has been going around for a while but the English subtitles didn't match the energy of the spoken French at all. i had to fix it.
