i forgot about the zoeya tardis bit in blackrock rising this shit is hilarious
i like to think that rythian gave duncan the benefit of the doubt at the start of the blackrock series only because he remembers showing duncan his lair when duncan was still new on the old world
you kind of have to look at modern fnaf as a completely separate thing from the old stuff because otherwise being a fan of the clickteam games will drive you crazy. like i still enjoy steel wool fnaf but ive also created a mental barrier that separates the fnaf 6 ending from whatever the fuck sotm is
remember when Ludwig played against a guy called slendererman on mcsr ranked and he kept saying “collect my 8 pages”
“the world you grew up in no longer exists” is something i think about a lot because although a lot of the things that made my childhood are still there and readily accessible, they’re also over and that wasn’t the case at the time.
like a tv show that is no longer receiving new episodes. sure i can watch the same thing i did when i was a kid, but when i was a kid i had no concept that this show ever would stop. now it actually has.
i guess things felt safe in a way then that they don’t anymore. i never worried about when a show would come to its end, i was never critical enough to be disappointed in something that i watched and i felt very secure in that. now when a show is going to end, i expect it to go wrong…

there’s a drain on the road near where i live and you can only hear the water flowing if it’s really quiet. even a single car far down the road will overpower that noise. but it still makes the sound if you can’t hear it, and i wonder what else in the world that applies to
every night if i listen very closely i can always hear my neighbours TV. i guess they leave it on overnight, or maybe they just don’t sleep well. it’s half past two in the morning, so i can relate to that.
social media
i don't like how good it feels to post on social media
i don't really like how difficult i find it to stop using them
i think it's a useful tool for when i'm bored at work, because not everything needs to be productive
youtube
i've made a lot of youtube videos in my life but i don't think i've ever made something that was as good as i could have made it. if i try to make something that takes too much effort, it doesn't get finished. if i put in too little effort, it turns out bad.
i have so many ideas, and i don't even care if people watch it really. just want to make something that i can show people and be proud of. i think i need to make the process more streamlined and easy to implement. if i can work on the process, then it will be easier to make those higher-effort videos.
the algorithm
because theres a computer that decides which videos actually get shown to people, it affects what kind of videos get made. the 'art' of youtube videos is heavily dictated by a black box mystery engagement machine.
i find it really disappointing, re my last post: the type of series that at one point was so beloved to me, wouldn't be very viable in today's youtube climate, so nobody is making it. and if you did make it, i would never know it existed.
blackrock chronicles
ive been rewatching rythian and zoey's tekkit series and it really is great still. i mean, i love the characters and the world they created so much that almost 14 years later i still feel really attached to it.
anyway, it makes me a bit sad that this style of content doesn't really exist anymore. i think i actually just miss watching zoey though, i always looked up to her as a kid and watched all of her videos.
