Hello! Figured I should make a list of blorbos so anyone has a chance of knowing what I'm talking about. In some particular order under the cut:

Jayne - DS Cyborg Bounty Hunter

Lot of firsts here: my first character, first through her class campaign, and the first and only I've started taking through the expansions so far. Got separated from her parents on Balmorra as a kid and figures they're probably dead. Likes to pick fights with Force users (hence the scar)

En'nead - DS Chiss Imperial Agent

Batman and James Bond's blue alien baby. Has a soft spot for droids. Romanced Kaliyo and took the Imperial ending. Middle child with family back in the Chiss Ascendacy he has a little brother named En'der

Meria Nura - LS Mirialan Jedi Consular

Daughter of one of my Knights and my Smuggler, she was supposed to have an arc about learning that being good isn't the same as following the rules but I never quite managed to play that out in the game so it's HC territory.

Thalia Clios - DS Ratatouille Rattataki Sith Inquisitor

You know that one line in one codex page on Korriban that says sometimes people sneak onto the planet disguised as slaves in an attempt to grab a bunch of artifacts Indiana Jones style and bounce? Well that's Thalia's backstory until someone realized she was Force sensitive and stuck her in with the other potential Siths. Probably hangs out as Darth Nox just long enough to figure out a way to dissapear into the frontier, being a Sith was a fun power trip but she doesn't plan on staying long term. Would've romanced Talos if he was an option.

Rhosse Nura - neutral Mirialan Jedi Knight

Lets all the power go to his head and ends up a grey Jedi. But also he hasn't left the starter planet yet. Meira's Dad, he does a lot better (and more good tbh) as Staine's smuggling partner who happens to be Force sensitive. Decent dad.

Staine Nura - LS Mirialan Smuggler

Aggressively nice in a "I'm going to kick that guy's ass for you but also you need to get good" kinda way. I think she's in chapter 2 right now? Meira's mom. Kinda looks like Ciri TheWitcher.

Triq Barnas - LS Nautilan Trooper

He's just a nice guy! Gives good hugs, wields big guns. I think he's on Coruscant right now. Hand to hand expert and Staine's buddy/ occasional Republic connection. Yes my whole light side crew is green.

Ashiok Vray - DS Togruta Sith Warrior

Used to be a trooper till she got grabbed by the Sith. Her family was Sith before they defected for a couple generations and she didn't know. Likes to mess (read:fight) with Sith and nobles but has a soft spot for the soldiers on the ground. Also Vette.

As the youngest- and only force-sensitive- child of a sith lord from a prominent family he has grown up immersed in traditions. But he is always passionate and in motion... seeking to forge a future for himself and the empire to which he was born.

He fights with a lightsaber in each hand, moving ferociously and without hesitation. Still- as far as warriors go, he is honourable. Just do not mistake his actions for mercy.

His skin bear permanent sith tattoos, and he can be said to be somewhat vain. This matches his personality... which resembles that of an overly confident feline.

Certain sources name him as the Emperor's Wrath, and a somewhat charismatic figure. If this is true, that makes the rumours that he is involved with the hero of Tython even more unsubstantiated and ridiculous.

also let me say something the crew skills missions in SWTOR will hvae the most fascinating fucking story premises just sitting there with no mechanism of elaborating on the outcome or any details at all and they're so JUICY AND GOOD people need to use these more as star wars writing prompts

Thinking about the parallel lines of the Imperial Agent and the Sith Inquisitor stories, two people objectified by their role in the Empire. One a tool and the other a vessel. The Agent forged into something obedient and sharp, to be thrown away as soon as it loses its edge. The Inquisitor shaped into something hollow, the heart yanked out to make room for the will and desires of those above it. Every part of their world has beaten into them that they are not people, merely the sum of their uses.

How do you establish your own personhood under those conditions? What is the self outside of a resource for others?

other people who merge all the class stories into one timeline with a "canon" Alliance Commander, i'm curious and trying to plan ahead for my own writing

we see in codex entries/companion information that any other class character disappeared at some point during the 5 years the Outlander is frozen, the Trooper missing in action and Jorgan being left in charge of Havoc Squad in their place for example

some are straight forward to think about, like an Agent choosing to split up the crew before disappearing to work behind the scenes

but what do you do with your non-Outlander characters in that 5 year gap? do you toss out the disappearance thing and rework things to say they stuck with their crew, eventually joining/allying with the Alliance together? or come up with a reason that they would have split from their crew or otherwise have actually disappeared before showing back up one day?

SWTOR class pairs 4/4.

Cumulatively they're about 35 - 50% cybernetics, and also they're in love.

The Agent's green card Voss marriage is hilarious to me in every way. Particularly the part where once they leave the planet it's almost never spoken of again. Just one of the many bonkers ass plotlines in the Agent story. Highly recommend.

The Jedi classes and having the weight of the entire galaxy rest in your frail, small hands, and everyone turning to you for any answer, even when you never asked for this, but if you won't save them, who will?

The Sith classes and getting fucked over and over and over again and being stepped on and blamed for things out of your control, forcing you to become the bigger dog in any way possible just so everyone else will leave you the fuck alone

Consular vs Inquisitor and being a symbol to something that was never your fight in the first place. Warrior vs Jedi and being sent as a living weapon to every corner of the galaxy.

Bounty Hunter vs Smuggler and getting wrapped up in a fight that was never your own, forces bigger than you forcing it to become personal just because you were the one there. Trooper vs Agent and laying your life and honour bare for a system that would betray you as soon as it's done using you.

I might be going insane.
