“I can’t talk about this anymore, Alice, I’m sorry.” Alex took a step back, her worried eyes glancing around yet again in case anyone was listening to them. “Nothing is going to change without some very serious consequences. I’d rather things stay the same than… Well, than things get worse.”
“And what will you do if it escalates when you don’t do something about it? It’s not gonna stop if you don’t say anything, Alex, it’ll make it worse and he won’t stop,” she said firmly, but kept her whisper.
Calming down she sighed out, “Look, you can do what you want to do. I can’t mettle in your relationship since it’s not my place. Just giving some advice. I just...I can’t lose you, not to him. I hope you can understand that...”
