greetings !  tagging  @charmingextra​  right  off  the  bat  .  

this  is  my  babygirl  nora  behzadi !  

she  moved  here  when  she  was  17   (  she’s  british  and  yes  still  has  the  accent  )  

girl  comes  from  money  ,   privilege  ,   and  drinks  so  much  alcohol  that  she  probably  has  it  in  her  veins  instead  of  blood  .  

a  smart  girl  ,   straight  a’s  ,   her  best  classes  were  STEM  related  ,   and  she  always  slept  during  the  arts  ...  there’s  not  a  creative  bone  in  her  body  ...  she’s  decent  at  photography  tho  ...  just  as  a  hobby !  

she’s  a  veterinarian  at  the  local  vet  ,   has  her  own  dog  ,   and  is  literally  obsessed  with  all  animals !  she’s  the  type  that  will  send  you  animal  picture  texts  at  3am  no  cap  .  

she  has  a  good  relationship  with  her  parents ,  though  she  doesn’t  always  with  their  views  (like marrying into money or another founding family member, job importance, etc.),  she  does  love  them.  except  family  parties.  that’s  the  one  thing  she  hates  about  them.  she’s  glad  that  she  doesn’t  have  to  attend  those  as  much  now  that  they’re  back  in  britain  .  

they  were  also  very  involved  with  the  wolves  when  they  were  here  ,   assigning  her  as  treasurer  .  

that  means  she  also  offers  medical  help  after  hours  at  the  vet  .   she  doesn’t  like  it  but  doesn’t  have  much  of  a  choice  considering  how  her  parents  left  her  with  the  wolves  ...  they  took  good  care  of  her  ,   though  .   they  ,   in  a  twisted  way  ,   are  family  now  too  . 

personality  wise ?  she’s generally just a little goof, and a bit of a party girl, though she can hold her alcohol well, and is also a free spirit, kinda like a wild heart.

i might add more later but that’s the basics of her !!

Juggling an overstuffed tote bag and a tall mug filled to the brim with matcha tea, Zora skillfully tugged out her key ring and unlocked the door to Z’s. She cleared a space on the cluttered counter for her drink and returned to the door, wedging a painted wooden doorstop underneath it. She’d putt off buying a real “open/closed” sign, instead opting for a fitting “sorry we’re stoned.” The open door was her way of communicating to the residents of Charming that she was open for business– even if it was mostly the cats who came and went. 

As the sole owner, Zora also took on the role of stocker. Thankfully, there was no real rhyme or reason to the shop, so “stocking” really meant just finding a cranny for new wares. She’d spent a lonely evening pricing a new shipment of crystals and drinking. 

Hearing footsteps at the door, Zora turned on her heel. “Morning,” she smiled, making her way to the front of the shop. “Anything I can help you find?” 

           ‘  actually  -  yes  .  ’    and  there’s  no  time  like  the  now  to  start  something  new  ,   right ?    ‘  but  first  i  wanted  to  say :   it  smells  amazing  in  here  ,   what  on  earth  do  you  use ?  as  much  as  i  clean  the  vet  exam  rooms  ,   it  still  has  a  faint  smell  of  something  ...  bad  .  ’     she  shudders  .  

              ‘  i  actually  came  to  see  what  kind  of  crystals  are  in  today ?  i’ve  been  feeling  like  i  should  get  into  it  .  ’

“Quick game of would you rather to distract me from the fact that I can barely breathe after only thirty minutes of this shit,” Sam panted, using the back of her hand to wipe away the sweat from her forehead before turning towards the person beside her. She knew a lot of people didn’t like to talk with others while they were working out, but she always thought of it as a nice distraction. “Would you rather only do yoga for the rest of your life or only do cardio for the rest of your life?”

         ‘  you’re  struggling ?  love  ,   i  feel  like  i’m  going  to  drop  dead  at  any  possible  second  .  ’   and  nora  is  fairly  fit  ,   but  her  version  of  working  out  is  pilates  -  and  that’s  only  if  MIMOSAS  are  involved  .    ‘  yoga  ,   definitely  yoga  .   you  can  do  sexy  yoga  ,   you  know ?  can’t  do  sexy  cardio  .  ’

Kimberly nodded, “You’re a vet? That’s awesome, I don’t usually get to interact with the vets, which is unfortunate because I love dogs.” She smiled, even though treating humans was hard enough, it’s a good thing to remember that someone is also taking care of the animals. “Vibing single? I can respect that,” Kimberly wished she had the time to feel like she could enjoy her life but that’s not the case, hasn’t been the case since what happened. “Well, here’s to enjoy life.” She raised her glass.

           ‘  that  i  am  -  it  made  my  parents  very  proud  .   i’m  hoping  they’ll  pass  ownership  to  me  in  a  few  years  ,   when  the  old  boss  man  croaks  ,   yanno ?  ’   she  asks  ,   because  if  she’s  going  to  be  around  here  forever  ,   might  as  well  make  a  name  for  herself  .    ‘  it’s  far  better  than  bitter  single  -  those  singles  never  get  anywhere  when  they’re  woe is me  24/7  ,   yanno ?   i  don’t  have  time  for  that  shite  .  ’   she  clinks  their  glasses  together  ,   smiles  .    ‘  cheers  !  ’

“I’m sure he’s very happy to even have that,” Lu said with a small smile. Despite the fact that she was absolutely miserable, she didn’t really feel the need to make everyone else around her feel as miserable as she did, which was why it felt a little bit easier to plaster that fake smile back on her lips. “I do love some sweet and fruity drinks. I never understood the way some people drink… whiskey for instance, solely because it sounds cooler when you order it. One of the people I went to high school with literally orders that and just pretends to drink that the entire night, then goes out for a smoke and to drink a margarita she asked her friend to sneak out of the bar for her,” Lu recalled with a shake of her head. 

          ‘  so  long  as  he  doesn’t  bother  the  shite  out  of  the  receptionist  -  ’   the  poor  girl  would  be  endlessly  annoyed !  but  the  things  she  did  to  stay  on  the  good  side  of  bartenders  ...  besides  ,   the  townspeople  needed  a  little  extra  spice  in  their  drinks  .    ‘  i  mean  -  i  am  from  europe  ,   so  whiskey  basically  runs  in  my  blood  ,   but  i  like  to  think  that  there’s  nothing  wrong  with  tasty  drinks  .   like  ,   why  not  enjoy  your  drinks ?  that’s  just  ridiculous  .   you’re  there  for  a  good  time  ,   not  to  pretend  to  be  classy  or  some  shit  .  ’

At first, Gunner hadn’t thought that she was speaking to him, but once she held the drink out to him, he raised an eyebrow at the other, taking the drink with a nod of his head. “I’m sure they say that to everyone,” he teased. “But thank you, what is it?” He looked down at the drink in his hand cautiously, he wasn’t usually one for whatever this was, a beer or hard liquor did him just fine. He raised the glass to his lips, taking a sip, observing her from behind the drink.  

        ‘  hey  ,   way  to  knock  a  few  off  a  girl’s  ego !  ’   there’s  a  frown  upon  painted  lips  ,   but  it  was  nothing  short  of  playfulness  underneath  it !  she’s  an  easy  person  to  get  along  with  ,   you  see  .    ‘  i’m  ...  not  sure  ,   but  i  do  know  that  there’s  irish  whiskey  in  it  and  if  there’s  one  thing  they  do  well ?  it’s  their  whiskey  .  ’   and  she  takes  a  sip  ,   makes  a  happy  wiggle  of  her  shoulders  -  it’s  STRONG  ,   but  nora  is  british  and  alcohol  basically  runs  in  her  veins  .

Sitting the drink on the table next to her, Charlotte took the hand being offered to her. “Pleasure to meet you, Nora. I may have grown up here, but sometimes I feel like I’ll never really know everyone!” Laughing, she glanced around at the dinner going on around them, the woman’s words about learning another language hitting her. “Adding ASL to your list would be cool- it would be nice to have someone to sign with around town. It sounds like you already know others, though. That’s impressive. What is it that you do, Nora?” She asked, her smile widening as she took another sip of her drink. 

          ‘  as  it  goes  in  small  towns  -  sometimes  people  forget  how  many  people  can  come  through  a  town  and  leave  it  .  ’   it  was  the  same  way  in  england  ,   for  people  never  do  change  all  that  much  .    ‘  i’ll  put  it  on  my  list !  and  yes  ,   a  few  more  .   i  got  a  bit  restless  in  high  school  and  had  far  too  much  access  to  duolingo  .  ’   and  some  ,   like  persian  ,   she  was  raised  on  .    ‘  i’m  a  vet  ,   actually  .   and  you ?  ’

“I know they’re providing drinks for performers but I’m sure I could manage to send a couple your way. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know after all am I right?” she couldn’t help but clock onto the accent. She was weak for accents. Turning up the charm some more, she quickly looked the girl up and down. “You’re British?” 

        ‘  well  then  -  as  the  kids  say  ,   say  less  .   you’ve  got  a  specific  time  i  should  be  there ?  ’   anything  for  free  drinks !  but  if  this  interaction  with  the  other  says  anything  ,   the  company  should  also  be  fantastic  ;   well  ,   nora  lets  a  smirk  grow  against  her  lips  ,   she  nods  .    ‘  born  and  raised  ,   love  .  ’

“Oh, I can’t answer that. It honestly depends on your tolerance, body weight, if you ate beforehand or not, how much you’ve drank, how fast you’re even drinking. But let’s say in your theory that you had only one drink but your tolerance is high, you wouldn’t get drunk from that so you’re still sober.” Kimberly explained, she could handle at least four to five shots until she starts feeling anything. “If you wanna test that theory out I would suggest doing it at home and if you wanna get sober faster try coffee.” Kimberly shrugged, it’s not the first time people ask her questions as soon as she says that she’s an EMT, at least she could answer that question, most of the time she has to tell people that she ain’t a doctor. “What type of single are you, are you even single today? Because if you are, you’re not the bitter type.”

          ‘  right  ,   right  -  ’   and  she  may  be  a  bit  under  the  influence  ,   but  she’s  a  smart  kinda  girl  ,   and  is  able  to  keep  up  ...  with  most  scienc-y  things  .   but  she  also  doesn’t  particularly  want  to  right  now !    ‘  got  it  .   except  i  don’t  think  i  want  to  be  sober  right  now  .   those  are  fairly  good  ideas  ,   though !   maybe  i’ll  try  it  on  a  day  i  do  wanna  be  sober  .   i’m  a  vet  -  so  i  know  some  of  the  basics  ,   but  i’m  definitely  not  confidently  educated  in  the  human  body !  ’   you  know  -  medical  wise  ,   anyways  .    ‘  a  ...  vibing  single  ,   if  i  should  say ?  i’m  just  tryna  enjoy  my  life  ,   love  .  ’

She’s not a hundred percent sure how many drinks Nora’s gone through, but Clover does know it’s more than a few, with how her accent steeples her words so. It makes her laugh just a bit as she takes the glass carefully in her hands, the absent, flitting thought of how it was smart to use plastic that looked like glass for their confections instead of actual glass. “ Oh, that’s cute ! ” she agreed with a shining smile and a light laugh. “ I’ll definitely drink to your charms and general badassery. ” She nodded once with another laugh. “ But please tell me the ‘tender didn’t make this with tequila … ? ” One of the very few alcohols she could not hold was tequila; it was an unfortunate affliction she’d faced since she ever started experimenting with drinks late into high school.

         and  guess  what ?  she  most  certainly  won’t  stop  drinking  anytime  soon  ;   for  how  else  is  she  supposed  to  drown  her  sorrows ?  water  certainly  wouldn’t  do  all  that  much  .    ‘  right ?  that  makes  me  feel  so  POWERFUL  ,   forget  the  animals  -  ’    except  she  wouldn’t  ever  actually  forget  the  animals  ,   because  they’re  her  entire  life !    ‘  please  ,   join  me  .   i  would  absolutely  adore  it  .  ’   hands  the  other  a  drink  ,   and  tilts  her  drink  so  that  the  other  can  cheers  with  her  .    ‘  no  worries  -  i’m  not  tryna  BLACKOUT  right  now  ,   that’s  not  proper  valentine’s  behaviour  .   i’m  not  that  kinda  single  ,   you  know ?  ’   not  an  angry  ,   sad  type  .    ‘  it’s  irish  whiskey  -  the  good  kind  .  ’

“Yeah, I’m an EMT.” Kimberly shrugged at Nora’s assumptions, she didn’t really mind or care if someone else enjoying Valentine’s day on her behalf. “Well someone needs to be the peacekeepr on this day when some of the Valentine’s Day dinner go wrong.” And she didn’t have anyone to celebrate this holiday anyway, not anymore. “The nora, it does sound more badass that way.” She chuckled, then trying to think of a more fancy way for the nora drink. “No, you’re right. I can’t think of a pun, maybe The nora is far better and supreme.” 

         ‘  question :   in  theory  ,   could  you  take  one  drink  ,   and  then  sober  up  super  quick ?  ’   she’s  a  veterinarian  ,   and  as  one  she  probably  should  know  the  basics  of  alcohol  in  a  mammal’s  body  -  but  she’s  also  BRITISH  and  puts  alcohol  on  a  pedestal  that  she  really  shouldn’t  .    ‘  true  ,   but  don’t  we  believe  in  the  good  spirit  of  valentine’s  day ?  ’   chuckles  ,   and  covers  her  lips  .    ‘  kidding  ,   i’m  sure  there’s  some  bitter  single  out  there  .  ’    she’s  single  ,   but  certainly  not  bitter  .   ‘  exactly  .   the  nora  will  simply  be  my  legacy  .  ’

Turning, Charlotte smiled at the approaching woman, doing her best to read her lips as she drew closer. Her eyes fell to the drinks she was carrying as she approached. “Oh!” She exclaimed, her eyebrows raising in polite surprise as she signed and spoke. “Thank you so much for that. I’m not normally a drinker but, I’d be honored to be in on the ground-floor of this brand new drink!” Reaching for the glass being offered, she nodded her thanks before taking a sip. “Wow! That’s definitely delicious.” Charlotte said, a bit shocked. “Thanks for this. I’m Charlotte, by the way! It’s great to meet you!”

        ‘  oh  ,   hell  yeah  .  ’    she  grins  ,   loves  to  be  greeted  by  someone  who  could  reach  her  own  immaculate  vibes !  such  people  are  hard  to  find  in  a  tiny  little  town  like  this  .    ‘  woah  ,   sign  language ?   i  guess  it’s  time  to  add  another  language  on  my  list  of  languages  .  ’   so  far  she’s  got :   english  ,   iranian  ,   and  spanish  down  .   she’s  in  the  middle  of  learning  chinese  ,   so  what’s  one  more ?    ‘  right ?  that  lovely  bartender  read  me  so  damn  well  .   and  i’m  nora  -  ’   gives  the  other  a  wide  grin  ,   offers  her  hand  .    ‘  nice  to  meet  you  too  .  ’

The only reason Lu was even at the party was because she had promised her sisters she’d see them there, especially her eldest sister, because Lu felt like they hadn’t seen each other in the longest time. Besides, the red dress she had on felt like a waste to just put back in her closet after she spent hours finding the perfect dress for Valentine’s Day. Might as well make use of the open bar, Lu glumly thought to herself as she sipped her third drink of the night. “He totally did that to try and get your number,” Lu said, plastering a fake smile on her lips before draining the last of her drink. “What’s in it? I kinda wanna try it now.”

          as  for  nora ?  she  adores  parties  ,   and  would’ve  came  regardless  of  the  open  bar  -  but  the  free  drinks  were  certainly  a  cherry  on  top  and  very  good  incentive  .   at  least  charming  knows  it’s  townpeople  ,   huh ?    ‘  maybe  ,   but  all  he  got  was  my  office  card  .  ’   technically  it’s  not  her  office  ,   for  she’s  not  the  lead  veterinarian  ,   but  she  gives  out  the  card  anyways  -  for  they  could  always  use  more  clients !    ‘  it’s  an  old  fashion  ,   with  a  twist  .   i  asked  him  to  add  a  little  of  something  sweet  and  fruity  into  it  -  just  to  give  an  extra  kick  .  ’

It took her a few seconds, the vegetarian comment taking her aback somewhat but when the girl started laughing she felt dumbfounded before she let out a somewhat forced laugh in return, shaking her head. “Ah, that’s funny.” she said. “You got me.” she certainly was a lively one and it was strange for Tabitha to be witness to such a dorky citizen. “Much appreciated, not just hot dogs though. We have burgers, ribs- full and babyback and I think there are vegetarian-plant based stuff somewhere. You sure you don’t want anything?”

           ‘  awh  ,   you  stop !  you’ll  make  me  blush  .  ’    and  nora’s  always  been  the  type  of  girl  who’s  always  been  too  friendly  ,   too  comfortable  with  anyone  who  so  much  as  looks  at  her  .   perhaps  it’s  her  SUNSHINE  ways  ,   her  innate  need  to  be  liked  ,   she  a  bit  of  a  people  pleaser  .   she  blows  air  in  her  cheeks  ,   head  nodding  in  consideration  .    ‘  babyback  ribs ?  love  ,   you  should  have  led  with  that  .  ’

“I’d like to say it’s a one time event, but without giving too much away I slay in the outfit and I’m taking any chance in the future to show off the Charming Fire Department ABBA tribute band. So I expect to see you at the stage supporting us with your best singing and moves tonight!” Jasmine was always up for a laugh and if that meant roping in her colleagues to provide entertainment, then so be it. Jasmine had been inspired when she found out bands and artists could perform for a small fee and she had fronted the admittance herself.

             ‘  will  there  be  alcohol ?  ’    she  feels  like  that’s  a  valid  question  ,   but  who  knows ?  nora  DOES  know  that  she  might  need  to  be  slightly  intoxicated  in  order  to  go  through  it  .    ‘  because  if  there  is :   i  will  definitely  be  there  .  ’

Kim was nursing her orange juice when the woman next to her, clearly drunk, when Nora asked her to join for drinks. “I’d love to but I’m on call unfortunately.” To think she had a shift today, on valentine’s day of all days, on the other hand she didn’t really have anyone to celebrate it with so it really didn’t matter. She can’t wait for the calls from 911 about sad and drunk people. “They named it Nora? I wish they’d name something Kim or something along those lines. Like Kimentine,” She paused to see if the woman gets the joke “…get it because Clementine, Kimentine.”

             ‘  on  call  ...  on  valentine’s  day ?  ’    and  she  realizes  that  valentine’s  day  isn’t  a  holiday  for  everyone  .   a  pause  .    ‘  AND  it’s  sunday  .   and  you’re  pretty  .   love  ,   i  think  you  got  someone  after  your  social  freedom  working  on  your  schedule  .  ’    and  nora  ,   this  social  butterfly  of  a  woman  ,   can’t  imagine  not  having  time  to  talk  and  party  with  friends  .    ‘  THE  nora  .   the  the  adds  an  extra  kick  to  it  .  ’   a  pause  ,  she  chuckles  just  a  bit   .  ‘  kimentine  is  cute  ,   though  .   what  would  they  do  for  me ?  nora-ator ?  thanks  ,   i  hate  it  .  ’
