           brown  eyes  will  light  up  when  she  sees  her  partner  across  the  street  ,   and  she  puts  on  a  whole  SHOW  to  get  his  attention :   which  mean  she’s  waving  him  over  in  order  to  get  him  ,   including  some  annoyingly  aggressive  whistling  and  yelling  .    ‘  roman !  get  your  ass  over  here !  ’   and  when  he  finally  approaches  ,   girl  leans  over  the  hot  dogs  that  have  been  sitting  out  for  far  too  long  ,   and  looks  up  at  him  through  perfectly  painted  eyelashes  .    ‘  i  need  you  to  kidnap  me  -  i’m  begging  you  .   please  kidnap  me  .   if  i  have  to  smell  the  scent  of  hot  dog  juice  for  one  more  second  ,   i  will  literally  faint  .  ’

She never needed an excuse to eat delicious food and so it was not surpising that Nikki spent quite a long time in front of the Sweet Escapes stall indulging in all the treats they were offering. The treats she already tasted had her doing her happy dance and she wanted more. “Ooh, what’s the cookie flavor you have? Let me have a piece, Wesley. Sharing is caring. Pleaaaase.” She begged, holding out her hand for a piece of his cookie.

“It’s my birthday week, you can’t be a dick to me for the next 5 business days.” Technically her birthday was the next day, but in her mind she deserved a birthday week after all of the stressful things that have happened lately. When she first came to town five years ago, they hooked up a few times, but after he introduced her to the wolves after he caught her dealing, that was over as quick as it began. She believed them to be on the same page about leaving it in the past. They were coworkers now, maybe friends even. She didn’t trust him fully, but there was only a handful of people who earned her completee trust.

It wasn’t difficult to spot Wes in a crowd, with how tall he was. Plus his long hair helped picking him out of a group. She sat down next to him, a mischievous grin on her lips. “I have an idea.” She saw him about to interject but she held up her hand and quickly continued. “-but you have to listen to it before you say no.” Emily didn’t want a valentine, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t find him one. He was single and good looking and there were single women his age in town. It was a no brainer, she’d much rather focus on his love life than her own.  “What’s your type? You know, in women?”

               ‘  check  this  out  !  ’    and  she  saunters  over  ,   two  drinks  in  her  hand  .   the  faint  british  accent  of  hers  is  stronger  with  each  drink  ,   and  this  is  number  ...  4 ?  5 ?  she’s  not  sure  ,   nora’s  already  lost  track  and  is  buzzing  with  excitement  .    ‘  the  bartender  made  this  up  on  the  spot  ,   named  it  the  nora  ,   ‘cause  i  was  so  damn  charming !  ’   gives  a  wide  grin  ,   offers  the  other  one  of  the  drinks  .    ‘  well  ,   i  don’t  want  to  drink  by  myself  at  a dinner  party  .   join  me ?  ’

Nikki had already had her fun messing with her friends at the party and she was happy that she came out. When she noticed Valentina sitting at a table on her own she knew the night was still on an up. “Well, well, well...look who we have here.” She began, pulling out a chair next to Valentina and sitting in it with a smile on her face. “You’re out and about late at night. I do hope you haven’t spent all evening at this table because that would in fact be boring. I thought you were trying to prove me wrong.”

Nikki was strolling down main street checking all the stalls that were up. It was nice to see everyone in town seemingly so happy. It felt like everyone was finally moving on from the tragedy. She was on her break from the Flor Amor stall and was looking for something to pique her interest. Her desire was met when she noticed a familiar figure in the artist section. He was a little older than her, but having lived here all her life she knew most of the locals. “Oh, hi Mark." She greeted him, in her best Tommy Wiseau impression. "How many requests for couples’ nude paintings have you received already?” She teasingly asked.
