Well, there were moments. Real friendship… brotherhood.
TVD Rewatch | 1.06 Lost Girls
The smart and kind Salvatore brothers both coming to my rescue. How will I ever choose?
this is so horny when you consider klaus occupies the same role damon does of the older sibling who has fucked up enmeshed dynamics with his younger sibling (including a brother who is devoted to him and was conflicted over it via Katherine), unrepentantly Bad while also enabling stefan's worst habits. only difference is stefan would feel marginally less guilty fucking klaus when he has his humanity turned off. no wonder damon feels territorial lol
the twin doth protest too much me thinks... choosing to believe nick dunne did fuck his twin sister and blocked it out for the 4th wall audience
my throuple 💔💔💔
why are ian somerhalder's ig posts all from like 2011 damon pics but he acts like they're recent... dude... you're like 50 and do not look like that anymore gahsjdjd
katherine killing herself and turning into a vampire is the one true stunning act of agency in the show. here is an all powerful man coming to claim her life because he feels entitled to her body due to predestination (as a doppelgänger for his curse breaking) already a teen mom, already facing patriarchal violence and being kicked out and exiled and having to rely on herself, on her own wits, learning a new language, a new culture; social climbing and having the misfortune of stumbling onto a pair of brothers of nobility who take a keen interest in her and just might be her ticket to a better life — end up wanting her for something completely out of her control being a Petrova doppelgänger.
and she chose to die than let herself be killed by klaus. for her defiance and refusing him, he murders her family and keeps her on the run for 500 years. this is also misogynistic violence for saying no. often times in the show, becoming a vampire is non consensual -- it's something thrust upon our characters either forcefully (or last ditch effort to avoid death), under coercion, or out of love to spend eternity With someone. katerina was 18, and when she hung herself -- after tricking rose into giving her vampire blood to heal her by stabbing herself -- she had no practical way of knowing if it would work, if she'd wake up again but she chose it for herself, to end her life on her own terms and to begin the undead one.
saw people calling sinners a heterosexual vampire film and I was surprised because in my mind palace smoke and stack were twincesting it up in chicago and cheating on their wives/snow bunnies
