reflecting on all the wasted potential exhibited during S4 and most of all i'm loathing that eskam got three mainline muslim characters with VERY different approaches to their faith (amira, dounia and kasim) only to then proceed to do fuck all about any interesting dynamics between them
#anti eskam#meta#look at me reviving this dead horse or whatever#this is something i expand more on my review. which is how dounia and kasim just DON'T have a dynamic in show#the screentime they share together probably amounts to 30 seconds for all the season#and so it's bogus when dounia hops on the kasim adoration train bc all we see of kasim is him being slimy and manipulative#and leave with the impression that dounia is delusional and/or straight up stupid#also the way dounia is just written out of the season halfway through lol#i want to find the people who wrote that season and just shake them violently by the shoulders. what were you thinking man
