I am Thai and American! 🇹🇭🇺🇸 A bunch of my ocs are based off of Thai culture and other Southeast Asian countries.
I’m a big nerd for animals and paleontology and I like to draw. 😁
I REALLY LIKE SGT NORM ALLEN!!!!!!! he’s my everything sjnkdskdjaj
This is my fursona!!! In his actual lore, he’s a warrior! Or at least used to….Lyre’s armor is based off of medieval Thai armor. 👀
Most of the time I draw them with Norm, they look like this.
DNI LIST
Considering yourself a pedophile/zoophile/rapist/necrophile or any other label where you harm anyone.
Being racist to ANY race or ethnicity. You will be blocked.
Supporting MAGA AND Democrats. I very dislike these two political parties.
Having far right political views. Do I even need to explain….
Being Cambodian and constantly disrespecting Thais because of the conflict. This goes for vise versa too!!! This war will not end if the two groups are constantly attacking each other!
Hating on yumeshippers but interacting with my content just because you like my art. This happens a lot on TikTok and it’s very annoying.
And last but not least, being homophobic and transphobic! This is a LGBTQ+ safe space. Get out you bigots.
Summary: Randy decides to speak up and ask some questions he feels he deserves an answer to. Patriot disagrees.
Please note that the author of this fic is nonsharing!
Randy never had any issues with his husband, really. Patriot brought him out of the crippling state of poverty that he had once been in— and for that he was eternally grateful. But…
Some things just didn’t really sit right with him. Like the fact that he didn’t actually remember getting married! That’s pretty important to forget. Or the fact that he had no idea how or when he met Patriot. It was like he just… randomly got inserted into his life by phonegod to save him?
He tried to talk to Roger about it and didn’t really get much. He concluded that it was just “meant to be” and the finer points didn’t matter that much, which he supposed he would’ve understood under any other circumstance.
When it came down to it… no one seemed to remember Randy’s “wedding”. Not Karen, not Norm and his “pardner” (which made no sense to use as a deferential word considering he calls everyone the exact same things, but apparently Patriot knows the difference between pardner friendly and pardner Lyre??????)— Not even Patriot’s friends! Which is wild to him considering how much of a bragger the insane capitalist he married was.
He TRIED to go to that cafe that Roger’s love worked at, maybe talk to that tv headed employee that Patriot befriended(?). Unfortunately Koi, the aforementioned employee, just shrugged and told him that Patriot never mentioned it… meaning Randy hit yet another dead end.
Currently speaking, as in the present day, Randy was sitting in the living room of Patriot’s oddly small house. He was on the far side of the couch closest to the front door with his husband standing by the kitchen bar a little ominously, facing away from him. The clink of a glass against the granite countertop was the only suggestion as to what the shorter was up to.
He was just wallowing in the overwhelming lack of memories he had related to the man he felt like he loved so much. He just didn’t understand why this was so uncomfortable to him! He knew he should just bury it down and be grateful that anyone tolerated him enough to give him free shelter— let alone marry him…
Randy turned his head to look at his husband and study his form for a moment. He looked the exact same as always. He wore the same white button up with black dress pants, the only thing that really stood out was the fact he didn’t have a belt on.
Patriot didn’t really stand out to Randy all that much if he was being honest. Maybe that was bad to say about his husband, but he really didn’t fully understand how he became such an important figure in town. How he seemed to know everyone before they knew him…
”Hey hon?” Randy called to the only other person in the house with a tinge of anxiety wrapping his voice. Patriot whipped his head around a little too fast and stared blankly at the man. Well. As blank as you can with an object head— but in Dialtown you just kind of know.
”Yes, my darling Jade?” He hummed, turning his body fully from what he was doing so he was standing idly facing Randy, “Is something wrong?” He asked.
Randy swallowed hard. He didn’t know why he always felt so vaguely threatened by Patriot sometimes. Maybe he really was just an easy to startle guy…
”Why is it that… uhm… no one really seems to remember our wedding?” Randy finally pointed out with a bit of struggle. He’d been holding it in for a while. “And I don’t even remember meeting you…?” Randy forced that last part out with a lot more struggle, mumbling it more than anything.
The room was quiet for a long couple of seconds and Randy rubbed his neck anxiously.
”I guess it just wasn’t very eventful. I can’t say I do either,” Patriot shrugged the question off, “The finer points don’t really matter in destiny, do they?” He chuckled, though it seemed a bit forced. It wasn’t like that was very new.
Randy would’ve narrowed his eyes if he had any. That’s almost exactly what Roger told him. What a creepy coincidence…
”I guess not, huh?” Randy anxiously mused along with Patriot.
”What’s got you so fixated on it anyways, Randal?” The other asked, the full first naming creating a pit of dread in the Nokia-head. Patriot tried to pass the question off casually, but Randy could hear that weirdly jealous and frightened tone that was just barely masked. He always could.
”Oh— um. I just noticed that we don’t have a lot of pictures like how Norm and Roger do with their partners? And you’re so… Public.” Randy reasoned, which was kind of the truth, so he didn’t feel as bad lying to Patriot since he technically wasn’t.
”I don’t need to share you.” Patriot stated flatly.
”I wasn’t saying you did— I just,,,” Randy panicked a little and dug his nails into his thighs.
Patriot walked towards the couch painstakingly slowly, his shoes clicking against the hardwood like he was some high figure in court. He came up behind the couch and put his hands on Randy’s shoulders.
”I just prefer to keep my most precious gemstone out of the public eye. You never know what the sick vultures of the bottom class would do to you.” Patriot practically purred in a much softer voice, resting the side of his head against the side of Randy’s.
Randy was quiet for a moment, tensed up and unsure… but he eased into the presence of the other and rested into it, relaxing and ‘closing his eyes’ (shutting off his optic sensors).
It made enough sense. Randy was crazy to think it was anything but keeping him safe. That’s all his husband wanted for him. Safety and security.
”You’re so attentive. I don’t know where I’d be without you.” Randy sighed contently.
Patriot just barely clawed into his shoulders for a second; “You’d be nowhere, darling.”
”I guess so, huh?” The Nokia-head turned to press his keypad against the flat of Patriot’s shell, ‘kissing’ him.
One of Patriot’s hands reached for Randy’s and took it up gently. “You should stop stressing yourself out about the little things. Why don’t we go out for a nice dinner tonight? I’m sure good food will get your mind off your self-fabricated fears.”
That did sound nice. It was nice to be at the top of the food chain.
”I’d love to, hon.” He agreed and Patriot pat his shoulder with the hand still rested on it. “Good, there’s my Jade.”
Patriot and Roger were right; The finer points don’t really matter in the grand scheme of destiny.
And thats the end, here’s a quick authors note!

DIALWEEN MECHANICS PLANT...REVAMPED !!! leaning into kobold roger and dragon peter, the whole of the factory (& co) is fantasy-themed! contrasting with the more halloweeny spooky theme of the rest of the dialween cast.
from left to right- everett is a satyr (complete with whimsical lyre), joe's a devil, fabron's a fairy, roger is a kobold, rebecca is a pegasus-taur, peter's a dragon, and caroline's an elf (but on account of being an objecthead you can't actually tell)
would any dialtown fans gaf if i wrote something about an analysis on bpd mingus and how that affects literally everything in dialtown. Hello./ Maybe.......?
probs gonna not go on here for some time (nothing bad going on, just mood stuff) but i frantically drew this norm giving the pov flow we rs. he is my parting gift
