I've been using this name for about four years now. I think me and my dad where playing this game we play where we try coming up with funny/stupid band names. My mom said "Sleepy Meepies" and then my dad said that sounded like a group that would make lullaby music for kids. I asked my mom what a "meepy" was and she said she didn't know but it sounded cute and I agreed and also liked the sort of lullaby/whimsy/childish vibe of it. So since the end of 2021 my username on everything has been SleepyMeepies because my mom randomly thought of it in two seconds.
I've actually highly been considering changing it to WhimsyWeepies because I live in whimsy and am indeed a very weepy and emotional highly sensitive. xD I also think it captures the feeling of my art more, as it is both whimsical but also sometimes (for me) a very emotional thing. Something about it also has this whimsical, happy nostalgic feel I like. Sleepy Meepies is cute, but it has no real meaning.
The more I think about it, the more I want to change it so maybe I will. I just worry about it since all my art is labeled "SleepyMeepies" and it weirdly feels like a big deal to change it since it's been that way for a while.

Well,mine is simple- I had a friend on discord and we were putting on nicknames- and she told me that she will call me “Spike” and I liked it.

Hiii! I didn’t know anyone would care about my username...! But I can’t blame you – it does seem a bit random, after all.
I remember I wanted to just go by "Norma", but unfortunately my name turned out to be too popular! So I figured it was a good time to have a little fun and try to get creative. I wanted the name to sound cute and still have something from my own name, so... somehow "normy" rhymed with "wormy", haha!
Besides, worms are cute – they help make the soil all fluffy! There are like a million kinds of them, and I think the longer they are, the more fun they are to look at, because their little wiggly moves are even more visible! I like to imagine they’re dancing when they see me...
