dunno if you got this ask before but how do u think lando would feel admitting to his friends that his relationship w oscar turned genuine after it started as a dare? how would they react and i wonder if they would question like why do u even want to date this guy. and maybe. lando also doesn't fully know Why at this point

lando does a complete switch-flip. from everyone else's pov it really is night and day. it goes from "sorry cant hang out im stuck with [rude nickname] for the evening -_-" to "if you say anything even slightly derogatory about oscar i WILL go off on you" to "im not coming if oscar can't come" within days. and nobody really knows what to make of it tbh! george and alex are a bit disturbed at how uncharacteristically gooey lando is over someone, arvid expects lando to be dating a hollywood hunk and is sort of perturbed at his milquetoast choice in romantic partner...you know it might actually be in my best interest to make a loserverse relationship chart

as for your other part, i dont think lando thinks about the why! loserverse lando is an impulsive job hopper with the emotional intelligence of a 16 year old. the kind of ease/contentedness he feels with oscar is a completely new brand of pleasure that functions essentially just as, i don't know, a drug, i guess. the fact that oscar wants to stick around him and that lando also eventually wants to stick around oscar is very novel to him and takes a long time to process!

one thing about oscar that really charms me only a little more than it makes me wince is he has a perfect understanding of how to inflect his voice for an advertisement. they tell oscar he's filming and ad and i bet he says everything perfect first try

loserverse lando in between actually dating oscar and sort of just leading him on lays awake one night feeling miserable and depraved genuienly wondering if fucking george russell will fix all his problems

You mentioned one time you couldn’t imagine loser!Kimi ever keeping a job and I had a really funny thought of him getting some “embarrassing” job at like a Starbucks or something, and somebody he knows walking in. And he freaks out because his DIGNITY (literally in dignity debt it doesn’t matter)

Bonus points if the job is actually going really well for once and he gets along with his coworkers ok, so he has to choose between not losing the job and also still being Cool Mafia Man (nobody thinks of him as this)

HAHA. ok. loser kimi gets an "embarrassing" job because he realizes he's a shitter who needs to get on the True Grindset but doesn't know anything about anything enough to be a drug pusher. so yes. starbucks. with arvid lindblad and gabi bortoleto..??!?!??!

however i think kimi's thing is he is hyper aggressive. someone he has very thinly sliced beef with walks in and he screeches from across the counter "OH SO YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST GET THE JUMP ON ME ANYWHERE HUH? DO YOU WANT TO DIE?" (extreme overreaction + the guy just like, got mad at him for trespassing in his yard once or something) and idk what makeshift weapons theyd have in a starbucks but yanno. he is definitely being physically held back.

maybe gabi and arvid want to get him fired but like. he gets that particular starbucks a reputation for having a psychocrazy on so many shifts so annoying people slowly stop coming in and it becomes a really calm starbucks and gabi/arvid no longer have to deal with crazies and theyre thankful :sob:. and kimi get sto cling on part of his identity as Crazy Mafia Kid who Will Fuck You Up

stbo landoscar. wow. i forget about them sometimes but then i remember and i'm like. omg.

this is really specific but i've been wondering if, after getting back together/reentering each other's lives, do landoscar have a big, shouting fight or like another situation where they get to express all their grievances with each other?

i found it really interesting in the fic how they found it difficult to actually say what was wrong and just resorted to like. ugh idk what i'm saying but yeah

i think the possibility is very high...and maybe it might even be necessary for them to truly clear the air. i think when theyre in the 'will-we-wont-we' stage and perhaps the first few days or weeks of being together again it's mostly just them making a mental effort to put the past behind them, but neither of them have really addressed the fact that they both really hurt each other in one way or another
