He’s not sure when it started, but it’s in his ear. In his head. Endless, rhythmic tapping of something against something else. A pen on a desk? A shoe on the a floor? It doesn’t matter, but when he can’t stand it anymore, Logan picks up a pencil so he has something to snap in half and gets up from his chair.

…tap…tap…tap…

“What the— are you the one makin’ that racket?” He doesn’t know her or what she’s doing there, but she’s the only one around and he just needs the noise to stop before he goes crazy. “You wanna knock it off?”

It was the last word of the daily jumble that was the most difficult. Sigyn had refused to use the internet and, after a bit, had resorted to tapping the end of her pen against the desk she had parked herself at. Staring at the paper did nothing. Neither did rapping her pen against the smooth surface of the desk but at least it was something.

Even if that something was ANNOYING.

She was pulled from her rumination by the sound of a man’s voice, sitting upright and clutching the pen as he worded his irritation. ❝ Sorry. I ddin’t realize a-❞ Sigyn squinted before speaking again. ❝ Hang on a minute. How did you hear it? You must have been rooms away! ❞
