Back in the 90’s I spent one summer working a couple shifts a week at a hat shop in Calgary called Le Chapeau Rouge. The owner, DJ, fine artist and milliner, Maria Curcic, was (and is) a goddess. Her paintings hung in the store and she was the epitome of cool. I saw this painting on her website and was reminded of that summer. Listening to Madonna’s Bedtime Stories and selling hats on 17th Ave in that baby blue and pink shop. So I bought it. And here it is on my wall!
