THE WORLD DEVELOPMENT MODEL
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
LANGUAGE
The world’s languages are still used among those people. Most learn ones from China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, because they’re still considered the great powers, and the most elite “learn” languages from the world’s superpowers, but mostly its the equivalent of having the courses in school, but paying for translation technology or personal interpreters in society. The wealthy are able to have quality instructors, anyone else must go through the school system available for their level.
Our protagonist is a communication specialist who works hard to master languages.
GEOGRAPHY
Gated Cities/Civilization: Most cities have been walled up to avoid “life threatening elements” such as diseases, homelessness, disabilities and addictions. There are people who are able to work in the cities that do not live in the cities, but there are a lot of steps that go into having such positions. Luna grew up here.
The Outskirts/The Outer Gates: There are a few gated communities near the city limits, and then it goes into the ungated communities, which are where most of the regular, everyday type of person lives and sometimes works. There are some who work within the gated cities and commute inside of the gates for shifts on city approved transports. Shani and LA grew up here.
Wastelands/The Wilderness: The least fortunate areas and living conditions. There are some homes, mostly made of abandoned buildings where others have set up. The further away from the city they get, the worst the conditions. People are often sent there as a result of exile, contamination, and inability to provide services to society. It is typically a death sentence to the impoverished and vulnerable, but many of the functional waste-landers pull together to create communities and fortunately, unlike in the cities of old, law enforcement usually leave them to it. Atlas and Bane the Wolf grew up here
The wilderness refers to all woods type areas, which people don’t tend to really travel much anymore, but some of them serve purposes and they are habitats to most of the werewolves who have not been captured. Free and Riggs grew up here.
ORIGIN TALES ♡ N/A
FOLKLORE
Threaded through the beginning, the werewolves are folklore, but they aren’t called that by the public. They’re generally called either “wild people” by the conspiracists, beasts by the agency tasked with keeping them hidden from society, and variously described monsters by those that managed to have seen them and lived to tell. They call themselves Wolves or (Wolfen/Wolven), when speaking with humans, and call the animals wolves.
GENDER ROLES
There aren’t really very many gender roles in place in human society, but there are a few in Wolven culture, particularly as it relates to mating, but most of the Wolves are displaced from their homes and their culture, so their ways haven’t held up as well as they once did. Even how their packs are formed has been affected by the habits of humans.
CLOTHING/COSTUMES
♡ The majority of people live in poverty and usually do not look presentable (sick, dirty, strained, etc.) Presentable common folk are either lower middle class, high functioning impoverished or pretending to be either to avoid being targeted by thieves or in violation of civilization dress code, potentially met with being ousted to a lesser location.
Middle class people usually buy clothes in bulk and repeat the same or similar outfits on a regular basis. People with enough money look more pristine, even if they aren’t flashy. They can be detected from their lack of odor, the presence of fragrances, how clean they are, how rested they appear to be, and the way that they carry themselves in their quality clothing. They dress up, sometimes. They can afford to observe customs. They wear costumes for costumed events, while others may sometimes wear costumes as a replacement for everyday clothes. Some tend to wear work uniforms even when not necessary, in order to provide a level of proof that they are employed and can sustain themselves.
Upper class people wear the best made clothing, have many events in which they dress up to show off and frequently have signature looks, stylists, and such in order to exhibit their status through appearance. Some things are trademarked, such as a design/emblem/color/style, and only available through purchase from an institution with the rights of that particular thing. Example: Shani’s school owns a color and gets paid each time anyone uses it for any purpose.
WEATHER
♡ Climate control specialists are working on devices to actually control the weather for certain areas, natural disasters are utilized for political maneuvering, even when they can’t be caused, the elites often control the narratives surrounding them and the ways in which they’re handled. They may not cause hurricanes or earthquakes, but when they occur, they are sure to protect the cities and rebuild if necessary, but certain outskirts and all wastelands are left to fend for themselves or worst, left to die.
ANIMALS
♡ Any animal that is not personally owned, raised, or taken in is usually either hunted or poached for food and usage. Farms still exist but either are highly regulated or illegally operated. Animal control is very scarce, as most vagrants will abduct wandering animals for food and other people might do the same in times of desperation. Animals in the wilderness are typically somewhat safe, aside from natural predators or climate change.
♡ The most common “animal” in the wild are Wolves. They’re hunted and subjected to extermination, enslavement, etc. At first, they’re covered up quite well, but activists are trying to raise awareness of the existence of Wolven people and the treatment of them. This could help or harm them, because of the way that humanity is. They are commonly called werewolves (that media does exist as folklore, though that was never the name that they had given themselves and in moments of peace with humans will compromise on being called “Wolves.”
FOOD
♡ Natural food is difficult to find; therefore a luxury. Farmers are pretty much slaves to the elites. Upper and middle class can afford cloned and mass produced, processed foods, but if there are any natural food sources, they are owned by rich people (Shani’s mother worked at a privately owned pomegranate farm that she couldn’t even afford to eat fruit from). And other well to do families own their own personal “Food Ecosystems” (Luna’s parents had farms and hunting grounds on their estate, tended to by workers practically owned by the family.)
Lower class scavenges, feeding upon strays and scraps. Some in dire straights resort to “cannibalism with a conscious” beneath bridges. Rarely is someone targeted by the hungry to be slain for consumption. Usually, cannibalism is only of those already dead, preferably recently killed, before decaying begins… until things get their hardest.
Wolves feed on humans, mainly in the wilderness or the wastelands. Sometimes, they might venture into the outskirts if extremely desperate, but they have never been known to get into the gates of the cities.
TECHNOLOGY
♡ The media, especially via billboards is the most powerful tool of entertainment, information and propaganda. Possession of a computer is the way to keep up with everything and to reach out. Most businesses and resources have gone paperless and many things wireless.
Eventually, leaders all want all access to every area of supply and demand to be electronic, including currency - in the form of implants which are currently being experimented with in lower class households, to see if they are safe and viable.
♡ Currently, the wealthy has devices that keep up with the level and amount of credit that they have and it can be accessed at any place and time for purchases and such.

JOBS/PROFESSIONS + ECONOMY
♡ Poverty Stricken: panhandle for and/or steal resources, sometimes assigned to work detail that basically gives them just enough to survive and work.
Lodging/Shelter: Predominantly homeless, in homeless communities in trash sites and under bridges, charity shelters, shoddy motels, or project housing.
Employment: General manual labor, clean up detail: picking up debris/trash/dead animals, collecting recyclables to trade, picking up unwanted discarded items abandoned on the side of the road as trash (to take to own or to re-purpose or to sell - They can claim anything that they find.) Many use the barter system for goods and services. Crimes for hire, usually hired to do dirty deeds for vindictive clients. Self employed prostitution.
♡ Lower Middle Class: Mostly customer service and maintenance work, some petty crimes and cons/scams.
Lodging/Shelter: Project housing is very common, small & unfurnished apartments, vocational dormitories, vehicles, trailers, or shared quarters (sometimes with camping rooms, for large numbers of roommates in minimal space). Many times, coworkers find homes together and split responsibilities by combining all of their resources. They can carpool, have company for travelling, as well as safety in numbers for their living arrangements.
Employment: Factories, plants, hospitals, schools, call centers, and food service. For certain services (like not knowing how to fix a toilet, for example) they can trade their goods or some other service to attain needs.
♡ Middle Class: Various community helpers( Police officers, firefighters, medical support) and construction workers.
Lodging/Shelter: Gated Employment Communities, within which people employed by the same business or agency, or sometimes simply in the same field, are housed by the same, and expenses are taken directly out of their pay before receiving their net worth. Construction workers are usually given land, under the same conditions and may have expenses for building on that land taken from their pay, if they need their company to provide. Some of them receive their land and help each other to build on it. Some of them build rentals on their land, as well, to make additional money off of renters.
Employment:
Soldiers: They are doing very well in the current state, because of how advanced the military has been in the past and the fact that now, it can be used to keep things in the type of order the elites intend.
Law enforcement: majority of which are less capable soldiers and/or thugs with badges. They are well protected and paid pretty nicely. Everyday citizens can barely afford them, but they work for the rich and they represent the middle working class. They implement a police state and those that don’t live within a police community may live as the residential officer in other community helper communities for additional pay, taken out of those people’s fees for their lodging. Police-firefighters, police-paramedics, and military grade police officers are the highest paid people of the middle class, because of their cross training.
Firefighters: work almost always on wildfires, bomb sites and burning buildings. They are no longer the first response to all emergencies because the emergencies are too plentiful. There are also police-firefighters, who are crossed trained and qualified to work as both. Sometimes, people outside of cities will start a fire in order to try to get assistance for something else, because fires always need to be put out, even in the outskirts and wastelands, so that it can’t spread to the city.
Paramedics: are bountiful and one of the most employed occupations in America. They have patrol areas, and there are certain paramedics that ride along with police, for extra pay, in the event that an officer is hurt, there is already a medic on site. There are also police-paramedics, who are crossed trained and qualified to work as both. Paramedics are generally the ones tasked with transporting contagious exiles or contaminated patients out of the city limits. Depending on coverage and condition, some may be taken to outskirts facilities for treatment and recovery, and if there isn’t any type of positive turn around, taken to the wastelands hospice.
Every hospital employee are middle class, except for doctors and lab technicians (who are upper middle class) and lower class contract workers brought into the hospitals for assignments.
Most other occupations are in various services to the elites.
♡ Upper Middle Class: are well to do and get to live quite comfortably, though they don’t exactly run the world. They have a lot of privilege, but not necessarily much power.
Lodging/Shelter: They can afford homes in police protected communities, within which, life is somewhat pleasant. The communities are gated, but sometimes drifters get inside. Venturing outside of their communities can be dangerous, so most of them try to open their businesses near home, or within the community. Some do have to travel outside of the safety zone to get to work, but aside from that, aren’t personally exposed to the harsh realities of society.
Employment: Bankers, accountants, brokers, doctors, lab workers, scientists, pharmacists, lawyers, distributors, pilots, journalists, billboard operators, communication specialists, drone controllers, private guards, national security surveillance, and mercenaries.
Accountants,Bankers, Brokers: Handling large amounts of money and overseeing the usage of funds is important enough for high pay and sometimes, depending on the company or individual who employs them, may be important enough to hire protection for them (usually a private guard, but sometimes even a mercenary.) The most elite never have cash, but their accountants handle all of the digital maintenance of their finances.
Doctors, Scientists, Lab Technicians, Pharmacists: Super important because of how crucial, yet exclusive good healthcare is. People who have lost their licenses or never finished grad school sometimes work in lower income facilities and underground for themselves, but most good doctors and all lab technicians work at medical facilities in wealthy areas. A number of top doctors are skilled and reputable enough to work personally for a wealthy community or elite family, with protection provided and a practice within the community, out of which they can also make house calls. Scientists mostly work for the government and for the elites to try to revolutionize things for harvest.
Journalists, Billboard Operators, Communication Specialists: They are tasked with the flow and control of information that the elites want shared.
♡♡ Elites: World Leaders, Royalty, CEO’s, Military Ranks, Religious Leaders, Criminal Kingpins, Government Legislators, Media Corporations and anyone with old money and inherited wealth.
Lodging/Shelter: In no war gated cities that have been gentrified and everyone else forced out into the less safe areas. Palaces, mansions, condos, villas, and other extravagant housing and estates, many also gated within the gated city, and several guarded at all times. There is zero tolerance of crime in elite society, but that mostly applies to commoners who work within the gate or an elite that has messed up so badly that they’ve costed other elites negative fallout.
Employment: Heirs, entrepreneurs, leaders, self employed or government appointed. They lead the people and control the world, through privilege and power and money to fund their dominance and oppression to maintain it.
POLITICS/POWER
♡ Politicians are mostly corrupt and have gotten to the point in which it is nearly impossible to avoid their power and lust of it. Many who challenge are often eradicated, making any act of self autonomy an act of activism. The government purposefully kills citizens. Most nations have become dictatorships. Some have no government at all and have been taken over by business men and crime/war lords.
♡ People want to overthrow the government, but are hopeless as to how they would make everything work without someone there to lead them. People try to leave their countries everyday and many are killed at the borders to avoid allowing in more problems, as most people are currently seen as. Activists take their fight to the streets and to governments, but are demonized in the media as terrorists, and often executed by drones and bombings sanctioned by governments.
♡ A group of elites have formed to orchestrate taking over the entire global economy by collaborating resources and profits on the largest multinational level ever attempted.
The Savior and The Rebels are simply ONE group that is trying to change things in the state of this world, but they are the group that this story will focus on.
