Just a reminder that the Quagmires didn't fall into the Great Unknown in Netflix!Show and possibly reunited with the Baudelaires. And yes, that means a lot to me.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 — 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒
(soft light, tangled sheets, and the kind of silence that says everything)
𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐖
“You’re awake… I was wondering how long you’d let me watch you sleep.”
“Stay here a little longer. Just like this.”
“Your heartbeat feels calmer than it did last night.”
“You look different in the morning. Softer.”
“I could get used to waking up like this.”
“Don’t go yet… the bed gets cold without you.”
𝐖𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐊… 𝐎𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐓
“…So, are we pretending that didn’t happen?”
“Be honest—do you regret it?”
“This wasn’t supposed to happen between us.”
“I don’t know what this means. Do you?”
“If you want space, say it. Don’t make me guess.”
“We crossed a line last night, didn’t we?”
𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐒, 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 & 𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒
“You should’ve heard yourself last night.”
“Keep looking at me like that and we’ll never leave this room.”
“If you keep touching me, round two is happening whether you like it or not.”
“Want me to remind you how you begged?”
“We really broke the bedframe, didn’t we?”
“I’m not done with you. Not even close.”
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐏
“Last night felt… different.”
“I didn’t expect to fall asleep in your arms.”
“Tell me you don’t regret it.”
“I don’t want this to be a one-time thing.”
“Why does this feel like more than it should?”
“If I kiss you again… it’s because I mean it.”
𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐘 & 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃
“We really shouldn’t have done that.”
“Someone’s going to notice we’re both missing.”
“This is going to make everything harder.”
“We’re in trouble if anyone finds out.”
“I don’t know how to act around you now.”
“Last night changed something—whether we admit it or not.”
𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 & 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅-𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏
“You stole all the blankets again.”
“I made coffee… but don’t ask me how drinkable it is.”
“Shower with me? Save water?”
“You look cute when you’re confused and half-awake.”
“Breakfast or round two? Choose wisely.”
“Please tell me you remember last night… because I definitely do.”
when i run out of fanfic to read so i write the fanfic
Belle had a brief moment of panic, flashing an apologetic smile all around as she exited with her card. The last thing she needed was a lot of attention while tipsy. She joined him shortly after and attempted to lead the way. "Real close." She promised, nodding ahead to a very normal, tan-toned apartment complex. A few lights on, full parking lot spilling out into the street to varying degrees of "legal" parking.
She smiled, "Do you want water or a gatorade when we get back to my place?" She offered, "How proactive do you want to be?" She added to joke with him, elbowing him playfully.
He couldn’t really tell how nice the complex was, but considering her rising career, it was pretty modest. The bright lights of the lobby hit him, closing his eyes as they walked to the elevator. “Probably some Gatorade to prevent any hangover headaches. It’s getting harder to drink the older I get.” He turned to glance at her, laughing. “Am I still on the clock?”
“I really think you should wear some more sunscreen, baby. The sun in Spain is much hotter than in the US.”
"I can't reach my own back!" Tony held up the sunscreen as he put on his shorts. "Will my handsome boyfriend put some on me?"
“I’m putting sunscreen on you, you perv.” He teased, putting more into his hand and slathered it over his middle back. “The rays are also at the highest around 3:00 PM so we should be in some shade around that time.”
“I really think you should wear some more sunscreen, baby. The sun in Spain is much hotter than in the US.”
"I can't reach my own back!" Tony held up the sunscreen as he put on his shorts. "Will my handsome boyfriend put some on me?"
He tied his swim shorts, taking the bottle from Tony. “We don’t want you red as a lobster for the remainder of the trip. I don’t think we have enough after sun if that happens.” He chuckled, squeezing the bottle and rubbed it into the others skin.
She smiled warmly, "Good, I'd rather you be safe if you're walking home, and if you pass out on the couch instead that's cool too!" She laughed, scooching out of the booth and cleaning the table up a little so it was easier to take away. "We can just grab the card from the front," She took a step and swayed slightly, the alcohol hitting her just a little more now that she'd stood up. "Oooh." She braced herself a little, "Good thing we're using the buddy system." She blushed softly, "I'm okay."
“I’m not too bad. Just need a little time and I’ll be on my way.” He felt a little dizzy as he stood, but watched Belle wobble. “Ah, ok I’ll believe you.” He laughed, walking to the front with her. He didn’t notice the people who were excitedly whispering to each other, pointing to Belle. He put his hands in his pockets as he walked out into the night air, taking in a deep breath,
“I’m sorry, have we met?”

She looked up from her book, ice-blue eyes lingering just a moment on the page so she didn't lose her sentence. The long, early train ride to start her day was usually uneventful if she kept her nose in her book but something tugged at her to respond.
The handsome stranger her eyes fell upon brought a smile to slowly creep over her features. "I'm not sure..." She put her index finger in the crack of the pages, setting it aside slightly to give him more attention than she'd intended. She studied him with a warmth in her gaze, "You look so familiar." She confessed with a sheepish tone, "I'm so sorry, I feel like we have... What was your name?" She asked, her brain searching for a reason for the feeling in her chest. An unknown pull tugging her to keep this conversation going.
"I'm so sorry you're going through this, but you have to take care of yourself, even if it's just for a little while. It's like a wound that needs to heal before you can face everything. Why don't you go home, get some rest, and shut off your phone for awhile? Terry is staying late to make sure everything closes correctly and did inventory. Sarah already prepped breads and pastries for tomorrow. Jason is opening tomorrow.” He squeezed her shoulder gently, "You're not alone in this. There are other people who care about the cafe too and will not let you fall. I’m sorry you had to see that. He only cares about himself. And honestly, he will do the same to her. How you get them is how you will lose them.”
[[MORE]]Her moan vibrated against his lips, surprised as her tongue pushed against his. He pulled his hand away as he noticed her hesitation, pulling away from the kiss for breath. “You want to go further?”
She smiled at him, slightly buzzed but still levelheaded enough, "I'm not far from here, just a couple blocks." She shook her head, "But I wouldn't want you to walk too far they said it might rain overnight tonight and I'll be damned if I let you get caught in a sudden downpour." She opened up her phone, flicking through apps, "I can get you a ride or we wait an hour or so back at mine and I drive you over." She offered, "It's the least I can do since you've helped me so much." She passed the label's card over to a waiter who'd stopped to make sure the hint was received, relieved that Belle wasn't intending to stay past close.
He appreciated her concern and the gesture. "Thanks, but I've got an umbrella and I don't mind the walk. It's a nice night out, despite the rain threat." He shrugged. "But if you're sure you don't mind, I wouldn't say no to waiting at your place for a bit. It's been a long evening and I could use the company before heading home." He did feel a little lightheaded, and the thought of getting caught in the rain or tripping didn’t sound like a good time. If it was an hour or so, he could get steady on his feet and feel more present.

He nodded sympathetically, understanding the weight of her words. "Maybe conduct a survey to gauge interest and skills before sending an email. I think there are many people here who shares your vision and values." He paused, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You've got this. I know it won't be easy, but with transparency and the right management in place, you will feel more comfortable. But you have much more trustworthy people here than not. You are in good hands." He offered a reassuring smile, "As for the migraine, maybe take a break after this? You're pushing yourself too hard."
"Never go on long trips again." Tony held his boyfriend.

“I’m sorry darling.” He wrapped his arms around Tony. “If I didn’t have to go, I would’ve stayed home. Or have you go with me.”
He unpacked his suitcase and started a wash. Their food came, grabbing the order and found Tony in the living room. “Foods here.”
"Never go on long trips again." Tony held his boyfriend.

“I didn’t realize you already had it planned this far.” He looked down at the phone, scrolling through the page. “You’re white, but you’re not pale pale as— whatever that place is.” He would hear Tony’s nerdy places or phrases and agree, even if he hadn’t heard of them before. “It’s really pretty.”

“The beach does sound nice. This cold weather is starting to become depressing. There isn’t a lot of gay clubs around here. And that’s the only type of bar I would be willing to go to. The ones around here are too— hazardous.” He laughed. “What sounds good?”
"Never go on long trips again." Tony held his boyfriend.
