I’ve had a new obsession over a movie and musical since I was introduced to it, and ever since I’ve seen it I’ve had a intense want for an IC stream of the musical, so today I’m going to try doing one! Anyone is invited!

When: Today, September 1st 8:00 PM EST. The room will be open around 7:30 and we will be watching youtube videos before the musical.

Where: My room in rabb.it.com, I will reblog this post with the link when it’s time! Rooms in rabbit hold only up to ten people, so it’s whoever gets in first.

RULES:

Please keep OOC talk in brackets or parenthesis so it’s easy to distinguish whether the mun or muse is speaking

Please use your character name when joining the stream. If you could add your url to the end too, that’d be great! If not, it’s not a big deal.

Even though this is a movie with a lot of drama, I’m going attempt for a lighthearted stream. Some IC drama may be unavoidable, but please try and keep it to a minimum. If people get uncomfortable, I will resort to kicking out.

Please refrain from posting any spoilers. Even though most people in the stream will be familiar with the storyline, there still may be one or two people who haven’t seen it.

This musical contains attempted suicide and character death, and touches on the subject of suicide quite a bit. If that makes you uncomfortable, you may not want to attend.

WOW!! I meant to do this for 500 but kinda forgot about it, so it’s for 530 now. I’ve had this blog for a long while. I kinda abandoned it a while back, but after getting muse for Douglas again, I brought it back. Now, when I brought him back, I wasn’t expecting things to be the same. Before I left, I was always getting messages and threads and everyone was obsessed with Captain Birch. I was worried I wouldn’t get that back. I don’t have all of that back, but that’s okay. Everyone’s still ridiculously supportive and just acted as if Douglas was off on a mission somewhere before he returned. That’s crazy to me. He’s kept his relationships and has started new ones too. And somehow people are still interested in Captain Birch (I mean how could you not be it’s the best).

I guess the POINT of this ramble is to just say thank you all for supporting and writing with me. I’m so invested in Douglas, and I’m just happy that so many of you want to interact with him. It means more than you could ever know.

JD really didn’t like it when people smoked, but it wasn’t his position to say anything. It was everyone’s own choice. He learned that a few years back with Will; one of the patients during his first year. He would like to say he had gotten close to the guy. He tried to get him to stop, he was on the road to lung cancer, but of course, people have a mind of their own. He’s long since accepted that. Still, it doesn’t mean he has to be happy at seeing this happen to a friend.

“…oh, wasn’t aware you smoked man.” He almost says that’s bad for your health, but bites his tongue.

     As a biologist himself, he knew that smoking      was one of the worst things anyone could do      to your body. But holy fuck. Sometimes stres-      s just got too high and there wasn’t anything      else he could turn to for relief besides Herma-      nn’s pack of cigarettes. Luckily he hadn’t felt      too compelled to smoking on a daily or even      weekly basis, but with a job like his, stress c-      ould ruin his near endless optimism and enth-      usiasm. So smoking a few did help him in the      slightest.

    “Yeah. It’s not a good thing to do but man…”      taking a moment to blow out some more sm-      oke he continued, “this last month has been      hectic                 as            all                   hell.”

Stress. Well, that was a common reason. JD was sure stress would be the end of himself at some point, but right now his focus was on his Newt. At least he seemed to know what he was doing and was controlling himself, right?

"I don't blame you. I'm not exactly the greatest with stress myself...no amount of warnings can prepare you for how hectic it is to be a doctor." JD runs a hand through his hair smiling, it's a calming motion for him, takes the awkwardness away. "Do you want to talk about it? Talking always helps me...then again, I talk too much." He follows that with a weak chuckle, in attempt to lighten the mood.

We haven't talked much personally but as a mun you seem very nice and polite! I also really like your character, even though I'm not familiar with Grey's Anatomy yet. It also made me super happy when you followed me bc JD needed more hospital people to interact with? And it kinda gave me courage to put him in the fandom somewhat even though I'm not overly familiar with it yet.So in short, I don't know you well yet, but you seem pretty cool!
