Man After Man is a book by Dougal Dixon on the speculative evolution of man after climate change, genetic engineering, and environmental collapse leads to the engineering of new human species to fill those biological niches, which then goes completely wild when society totally collapses and evolution runs wild.

As for why they’re so hairy? To survive in the freezing tundra. Why are they in the tundra? No idea. New human subspecies are created seemingly just to exist. However, be glad that they are hairy cause it’s the non hairy ones that are really horrifying.

I feel like a lot of people who were parents when I was a kid didn't understand that kids taste things differently than adults do. Babies and kids are EXTREMELY sensitive to bitter, so kids probably will not be able to eat leafy greens, brussel sprouts, pickles, coffee, whatever, even if that isn't bitter to an adult. Humans evolved before agriculture. Broccoli didnt exist. Things that were bitter were poisonous. Evolution is trying to keep your children alive. They're not being trouble or trying to disrespect you, they're literally just different than you. You didn't "learn how to like these things" your fucking neurology changed because you GREW UP and you cannot change or teach your kids by force feeding them broccoli and kale.

I eat things now that I would never have eaten as a kid, and that didn't change because my parents made things I didn't like and beat me half to death if I didn't eat them, BECAUSE MY PARENTS DIDN'T DO THAT.
