this is where i hide my magnets:

I have 7 thin n52 neodymium magnets that fit perfectly into this pen. i removed the ink cartridge and replaced it with my magnets, when it is closed it looks like a normal pen. so if i get caught LP/police can search my bag and literally pick up the pen and not know that there is a magnet inside. it also is a good case for holding the magnet to protect them from chipping and losing strength

lil life and lifting update~ Don't got a home right now and am dealing with mental health stuff and I don't trust myself when I'm trapped in a pit like this to be as aware of my surroundings so no hauls lately....just random stuff here and there. Scoped out a piercing/jewelry shop that's doing a remodel and half the cases don't have locks and zero cams!!! Omg!!! Must go back soon. Really lovely amethyst plugs that seem easy to swipe if I'm there at the right time. Ended up taking a big bougie candle from them lol, it's white tea and ginger. Swiped two toys from a boutique style sex shop 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Got a cute gold bracelet with a triangular piece of howlite on it and some chocolate orange scented body butter from a bath/beauty shop Took a small necklace with an iridescent heart on if for a friend from a vintage shop 4 pieces of smokey citrine for myself and one tigers eye pendulum for my boo from a crystal shop One tube of urban decay lipstick from ulta I think that's all I've been up to the past couple weeks. I dunno, probably around $90 for everything minus sex toys - those total out to $275

I almost just got fucked at ulta

I was leaving and the lady I think she was manager was like “oh you didn’t want the too Faced pallete or mascaras?” And blocked the door and I was like “oh no I left them by hair care I have to go” and the line was long so I think that was a good excuse because they’re closing right now and I told her sorry for the confusion but I can’t go there for a while lol. Then I called line 30 minutes later and asked to speak to the manager and she said it was her so I told her I was offended by her employees actions and that they accused me of shoplifting when I was just leaving because the line was too long and she said that she wasn’t accusing me but just wanted to know where I had put them so I told her I left it right by the shanpoos and she was like “oh by the mass hair care??” Like duh that’s what I said but I just said yea and she apologized and seemed sincere and I said I spent a lot of money there and didn’t feel like I deserved that and she apologized a bunch so.

SAs really don’t have training in loss protection. 2.) jewelry is THE highest shrink department; it is always watched in the manager’s office (it’s a pretty obvious cube in a corner of the store) 3.) Managers have cameras in their office they watch through. Usually they don’t pay attention, they’re too busy with paperwork. 4.) there’s no incentives for catching you 5.) bathrooms are unlocked 6.) “security scan all aisles” - it will overhead announce. Dump and leave. Fast. 7.) no LP 8.) yarn is a good blind spot 9.) cashiers can’t touch you, can’t chase you, nothing. We can’t 10.) nothing really has tags, because we couldn’t deactivate at the register. Like there was no magnet to deactivate with.

How to be a better lifter

Work retail. Seriously. ESp if you’re one of those lifters who feel like every one is on to them. When working retail you (I) can never really focus on anything Besides folding and saying hi to people who walk in. It’s really hard to be doing my job and looking for people who might steal. But it is my second week so maybe I’ll get better at noticing shoplifting (not that I would tell obviously lmao)

Same ^ I worked at Target and I worked Customer Service so I had the perfect view of the LP’s office (the only LP guy we had) and I never once saw him take someone in there and never once was there police at my store while I worked. Plus I always knew his schedule which was every Saturday off. I worked 40 hours a week too. So it’s nice to learn the inner workings of the LP at your store. I also learned that my Staples doesn’t have any LP or cameras from working there. Working retail is awesome for shoplifters.

This is so true. I've worked retail for about 7 years (on and off) and have never caught anyone cause I'm too busy doing customer service or stocking or whatever the fuck. I used to work at lush and whole foods and a bunch of places that folx steal from all of the time and none of them were on top of LP. LP training mostly consisted of "don't tell the persxn lifting that you know what they're doing, don't follow them, just be nice to them" in a way where it seemed like we were supposed to be scared lifters would fly off the handle and attack us. Also when there were actual LP ppl/security they never gave a shit, they're just tryna get through their work shift. No ones ever really monitoring the cameras that closely or straight up no one is monitoring the cameras at all. They only got used to check and get a bad picture of the lifter later to put on a wall/binder but hardly anyone remembers those faces n shit unless they're really obvi and are repeat offenders. Even if ppl noticed (this mostly happened in whole foods) we'd mostly just talk amongst ourselves and be like "oh it's that persxn who stole ten jars of probiotics better keep an eye on them" but no one would watch them or approach them or call anyone lololollll

So sorry if this has been asked a million times, but do you have any tips for lifting, well, lifting bags? There's a nice dark structured one at Macy's I spotted (my uncle works at that specific location and so I know the security is very relaxed for that store, plus I've successfully lifted clothes there a few times)

ok well here’s what i did1 check the bags on the rack, if there are different colors act as if your checking through them2 while doing that look for visible tags3 pick out the one you like and be super interested in it, it’s okay to open it while looking at “pockets” but i search for tags in there too 4 try it on and see how it looks on you5 if through this whole process and up until this point no SA have seen you sorta walk around and away from that section6 If you have a friend with you make sure they are in a different department and meet up with them or call them before hand so it looks like your in a rush7 if your by yourself go to a weird section like the mens section or old ladies night gowns and lingerie section or prom dresses section, go to the dressing room with clothes and take out all the stuffing and check again for tags8 put stuff that you normally have in your bag in it so if you do get stopped maybe that will hold LP up if you’re stopped

that’s basically it! this should take a good ten minutes and be sure to watch for any one you have seen more than three times in different parts of the store.
