You really need to work on your reading comprehension if you are still not understanding why I brought up the colors. As for coming up on your post, it's in the sterek tag. All of this crap is if you are mobile because all a post needs to do is mention sterek, not tag. So your oh so innocent opinion flipping out about "hdu sterek shippers use red strings of fate" is there for all lot of us to read.
Okay I am truly sorry if I offended you, and I am not being sarcastic. You guys can have a blue and orange and I understand how it is yours and yea I agree that it is sort of childish to say that this is ours and not yours but you have to understand where were coming from okay? And by control I mean that, since you guys are such a big fandom, the TW people have to be super careful on what they say so they don’t piss you guys off. Remember Posey? He got death threats cause he spoke his opinion. His mom and to tweet to the fans to back off. This is getting a little out of hand that’s all im saying. You're really not even reading what I'm saying. I don't give a shit about blue and orange. It's colors. None of us have a say over colors. I was using it as an example. I don't care what ship uses those colors, I have no say in that. Nor would I argue that I should. That is my point.
Outside of all of this, you should really do your research. Posey received no death threats over what he said about sterek. What people perceived as death threats was actually someone else being told to "die" (the word was retweeted onto her tweet) for saying Posey was ugly. Fans got Posey's mother involved and made it into a thing where suddenly sterek shippers were attacking Posey. Please stop propagating this lie.
You're the one who's taking it "out of hand" by a) not even really reading my posts and b) throwing entirely unrelated arguments at me.
Bottom line: anyone can use red strings of fate, anyone can use any colors they want. None of these things "belong" to anyone. And ranting about how it's "not okay" to use them is childish and spreads more negativity, divisiveness, and hate into a fandom that is seriously already over run with those things.
The sterek fandom is basically 3/5 of the tw fandom. You guys are huge. What my friend, Gabs, is trying to say is that each ship has a little thing and we should respect that. Like we don’t have to ship everything but at least respect it and leave it alone. I don’t understand how the orange and blue is sterek. And I understand that the red string of fate has been around forever but in Teen Wolf, the writers wrote it specifically for Stydia. Teen Wolf does a lot of research so when there’s symbolism, it’s intentional. It just bothers us that you guys had to take it away. I mean, what did we take from you? Just because you don’t have a lot of scenes to work with, doesn’t mean you should take some away from other ships. The sterek fandom is powerful and it’s big. You guys win polls, you have control over pretty much everything. Can’t we just have this? I mean we’re not asking much.

Red strings of fate is an old as fuck idea, basically soulmates, and guess what? The soulmate thing? Definitely not just something to be held in reserve for Stydia. Though he hadn’t noticed his immediate reaction to his entrance, he did however notice the reaction to the wink. His grin widened somewhat, the gesture crinkling his eyes. There was a possibility he made a show of reaching over the desk to grab the syllabi. His backside more or less jutting out giving the teacher a nice view. Before he straightened up and moved towards the many desks lining the classroom “I’m really excited to work with you.” He commented with a hum “I’ve heard good things about you around campus.” He said flashing him another grin over his shoulder…Just in time to catch the other looking him over, if only a little.
He barely suppressed a grin.
Derek was used to be flirted with. By other professors, definitely by his students. But this Stilinski guy was his first TA, so it threw him for a moment. Whcih didn't stop his eyes from moving appreciatively over that round ass. Jesus.
He swallowed thickly and cleared his throat as the kid flashed him a grin. He offered what probably looked like an awkward smile in return.
"Well, your application was impressive. Easily the best of the bunch," he acknowledged, purposefully looking away. "You should, uh, come to me with any question you have. I know this is your first TA position. I think you'll find it useful though, it's a good learning experience. Just don't sleep with any of the students."
He could have hit himself. Why did he say that? Because the kid's perfect ass was distracting. That was why.

‘Are we all alive?’ it had been the first thing Stiles had asked and the only question he simply couldn’t wrap his mind around. No. No, they weren’t all alive. Allison was dead. Aiden had died and all the innocent people whose blood covered Stiles in a more metaphoric way than literal… No.
There was no going back. Things were going to change. They already were changing.
He’d told Scott that he was fine and that he could go home; nothing stupid would happen. And he did as promised. Now he was sitting on his bed where Lydia had been laying not even days ago, looking at the big ‘blackboard’ he had turned his wall into. All the red strings, dead bodies, unsolved cases… They were all solved now. It was over. Only that Stiles couldn’t stop feeling like this was just another trick of the nogitsune.
He glanced down on his hands, silently counting his finger. One. Two three four… five. Five fingers on each hand, when he heard the knock at his window, wincing automatically before sighing in relief when he saw that it was Derek. Of course it was. It’s not like he could have used the unlocked door or anything. With a deep sigh the teen stood up and unlocked the window before pulling it up and opening it. If Derek would tell Scott about the finger counting, this might lead to a conversation he was not planing on having with either of them.
“What’s up? What do you need?”
Derek was surprised to see Stiles looking down at his hands. Was he still counting them? But they'd gotten rid of the nogistune, he shouldn't still be losing time like this.
He slipped into through the window as soon as it was opened, fixing his jacket as he straightened. His eyes moved over Stiles' room. It looked like the sheriff's station. All the string and the pictures, the cases connected. He must not have had time to take them down. Or maybe he couldn't.
"Nothing," he finally answered. "I was just... checking on you. You weren't hurt?"
He'd talked to Scott, he knew about the garden and the sword. He was sure Stiles was okay, physically, but it was better to know for sure. And Stiles had gotten into the habit of hiding... everything. The last thing they needed was for him to become a loose canon after all they'd done.

My thing with Sterek is, it was never canon. In fact Derek doesn't even like Stiles in the first couple of seasons & treats him like shit. People are free to ship what they want, but you can't get mad when the writers and actors don't deliver your head-canon on screen. The sterek shippers started getting attitudes about things and I just don't think the writers & actors understood bc the derek/stiles relationship wasn't even written to be a friendship, let alone a romantic relationship.

srslycris is right - they may not have set up Derek and Stiles to be a romantic pairing, but they were deliberately foils for each other from the early days and audiences have been conditioned to read humourously combative relationships as eventually romantic (aka slap, slap, kiss - as seen in every book, movie and tv show ever)
I agree that the fans got too aggressive because their headcanons weren’t being adopted, BUT to be fair, Jeff Davis did jerk them around a LOT by hinting at and dancing around a potential canon Sterek storyline. He did everything he could to court the Sterek fans, only to turn around and shut them as hard as possible, so in a way everyone is awful,
I haven’t seen Sleepy Hollow yet, I’ll have to check it out.
Either way, I’m sure we can all agree that Dylan O’Brien is hands down the best thing to come out of that show.
