There was simply no doubting his charms, both in appearance and his actions. He seemed to carefully plan every little detail to set things into his favour. His style gave an air of confidence and assurance – adjacent of what a businessman might wear. Though, his expressions could pair from a charismatic partner to a vicious snake ready to sink its fangs in.
Yet, with the sides that you saw of him brought confusion with that structured image of him.
A tired man with heavy bags under his eyes after nights of ceaseless analysis coming to embrace you. The tight hold just so suffocating yet impossible to not reciprocate. His sigh. You drew a hand to help comb a few stray strands of hair from his face – immaculate hair completely a mess. A thumb moved to massage his temple. He seemed so weak, yet you knew that was far from the case.
Those moments; seeing his face in the morning and gently reaching a hand to stroke his cheek. The way his face scrunched up yet how he nuzzled into your touch. That whine which came from him when you went to get up. Arms always held you tighter, preventing you from leaving his side.
His sweet crooked smile when you surprised him with something you thought he might like – often personally made by you. He would thank you so earnestly and gaze at whatever it was to focus on the details.
It had been too easy to forget – lost in his sweet side.
You sat in his lap as he worked, leaned against him with your eyes closed. The previous night had been spent investigating Hyperspace. Yet, for a moment, you opened your eyes. His sleeves were rolled up – suit coat tossed aside. Tattoos of traditional style coloured the skin down to his wrists. You knew they trailed up, entirely covering his back and stopping at his pectoral muscles on the front. While it had little meaning outside of his group in Kalos, you knew what it signified.
His title as the boss of the Syndicate was nothing to be doubted on. The power he welded – both in the underworld and polite society, was not to be underestimated. Strings were easily pulled to keep you in Lumiose for as long as he wanted. It was easy for him to get whatever he wanted. You turned your head to look at his face. Slit pupils were locked onto the laptop screen. The expression was intense – none of the gentleness that was shown to you.
The lap you sat in belonged to a terrifying mob boss. One that could have you disappear without any questions. A hand drew to his tie, loosening it. His typing ceased for a moment. He could kill you; he no doubt had others before. A finger undid his buttons, revealing his chest just to you. He was powerful… Your head rested on his shoulder. Suddenly, arms locked around you.
Your chin was grabbed and made to meet his eyes. His gaze narrowed. “What's on your mind?” he questioned. You wondered if you should say it. A half-hearted reply about how handsome he was made him shake his head. “I think I've spoiled you,” a sigh left his mouth, “Well, I think I need a break. Let's head to my place.”
You supposed the threat of you disappearing was less Corbeau killing you and more him just wanting you all to himself.
To those who can hear me, I say, do not despair
