when i started watching this show for funsies but ended up becoming completely obsessed with it

Finally, the correct response to seeing the person you’re hoping to kiss scrunch their face up and brace themselves!

I had a preemptive wince when Sky said his “I’m not sure how much I can contain myself” line and got this expression in response. I’m so used to seeing that face used to indicate that a character is shy/anxious/innocent to sex–it’s that “reluctance equates to purity and moral goodness” thing, which is a bad take anyway, but it almost always just reads onscreen as a deep aversion to the idea of kissing. And of course the love interest takes the kiss anyway, because he’s dominant/can’t resist his desires. I don’t like it, but I’ve gotten used to this as a quirk of BL. And then Sky! Wonderful p'Sky!

Our cheesy, not-so-secretly dorky walking green flag saw that face and drew back. He made it clear that he’s (as always) ready to follow Jao’s pace. Good man!

Jao looks surprised, too! And then his face goes fond as he realizes that Sky truly won’t take what isn’t freely given, and he decides it’s his turn to lean in.

No discomfort. No fear. *That* is how you get consented-for, passionate mutual kisses. Ah, these two are the best. I love them.

the thing about my liberation notes is that if you can’t relate to the characters, you probably won’t like this drama. you will probably think it’s a downer and everyone just sits around moping about their lives when it’s actually a very realistic portrayal of a generational problem of feeling isolated and feeling like you’re not doing anything in your life, you’re not going anywhere when everyone around you seems to move forward. you live day to day and you have your moments but it ultimately just isn’t ENOUGH. you’re not unhappy but you’re not happy either, you’re just existing and bored and growing more and more frustrated because nothing ever fucking happens and everything is mundane and superficial. the drama is about this feeling. and if you don’t feel that existential dread every day, you won’t get it.

I just finished Business Proposal (having consumed it in like the span of 72 hours) and I think it's the best rom-com I've ever watched.

It's campy but has a lot of heart too. It's genuinely hilarious, never takes itself too seriously and it's swoon-worthy; both couples are amazing. The characters are well developed, their motivations and actions feel so true to real people even though it's obviously played up for comedy and drama. It helps a lot that the cast is so fun and has a great dynamic with each other (and the 4 of them are gorgeous). But what I love the most about this show is how messy and chaotic it is, feels just like real life. I needed the silly happiness of a good rom-com and this is it. I cannot stop thinking about it, and it makes me smile every time. Will definitely rewatch soon.

(Also I kind of have a huge crush on Kim Sejeong and her character in this show. I mean, Ahn Hyo Soup is sooo fine too but this girl is just ... I completely understand Taemu I would also want to marry her on the spot haha. She's the perfect mix of a very caring person, a chaotic relatable mess, and a smart, dedicated, successful woman).
