Okay! Have we talked about how the James+Issac kiss is setup almost EXACTLY like Nick+Charlie’s first kiss. Issac parallels Charlie and James parallels Nick.

Both situations include one boy (James/Nick) being teased about who society THINKS they like/should be with. And once they clarify that they DONT like that person (Charlie for James/Tara for Nick), the other boy (Issac/Charlie) questions if the other likes them.

Obviously these two scenes end very differently and I think that really highlights Issac’s realization of his asexuality because this scenario was an almost perfect parallel to what most people in the Heartstopper universe (and real life lol) regard as “true love” (Nick and Charlie).

I really love a good parallel and Heartstopper is absolutely full of them.
