The Folk Implosion - Natural One

Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh) formed The Folk Implosion as a side project to his main band in in early 90s.  Their main success was this track off the soundtrack to the Larry Clark film "Kids".  A stormer of a stoner-indie track, all trippy basslines, funky beats and sharp guitars.

When Gallows and original singer Frank Carter parted ways, the decision to appoint Canadian punker Wade McNeil was met with some raised eye-brows from those on the scene.  McNeil was most well known for role as guitarist/backup singer with Alexisonfire, but he had lead vocal form in his own band, Black Lungs.

"Cross  Of Lorraine" is the closing track on the eponymous album from this new Gallows lineup, somehow is manages to encapsulate the sound and feel of the venture perfectly.
