Jokes and hockey.

This blog will be a tripartite agreement for all hockey fans to enjoy the sport. One part shop talk, one part hockey goss (all players welcome, even the shitty ones) and lastly one part Willmack RPF who have a hold on my heart that I did not think possible (I have never shipped nor RPF'd before so if I f*** up and break a fandom rule I AM SORRY. I KNOW NOT WHAT I DO (literally, hold my hand when you tell me what I've done). Tags for each in my pinned post below. I am a NorCal via SoCal Girl stuck in Toronto. My hockey qualifications include playing beer league (poorly) with former juniors players and a few who played in the DEL. Oh and I've watched hockey since the Ducks hit the scene in 1994. Go leafs go. Go Sharks. HM to the Ducks who opened up my little hockey heart. Note: I make ALOT of jokes on this blog. Every joke is to make you laugh! Lets all make each other laugh!! - real life is rough out there. If you don't know if what I have said is a joke - please ask! I am chatty ass person and love asks. The stuff I say about hockey is often not fact checked but MUAH's opinion on the sport (no jokes here, this is a super serious and dangerous sport). I will MLA cite when we are talking stats and try to link sources.

Goodbye to Our Little Fandom

Whew. What a 48 hours everyone. When I came to Tumblr I was so excited to find a community/queer community to talk about the players that had just hit my team. To share the joy of hockey with so many new fans. I really hope you all stick with the Sharks and hockey. It is such a fun sport and I am stoked to see this fanbase just grow and and grow.

The environment around here has gotten too intense and toxic for me to stick around. I really loved what we were building and was so excited to find queers, gays and girls to talk about my beloved team with. But this amount of hate is not worth it.

If I did something to anyone I truly am sorry. I try to live my life as a good person who is around to make people laugh but I may have done something inadvertently to others - if that is you I am truly sorry. It was never my intention to be a bully.

Please know when an insane pass is made or when the Sharks get into one of their kitten fights I am right there right alongside you watching in spirit.

tbh, the reason I thought it was suddenly money related was one of her recent post where the trend of horrors she mentions looking at her bank account and another post recently she tagged almost all the products she used. Normally people do that so brands reach out with sponsorship. Till then I was on the same boat as you. But yes when you have a minute would like your thoughts if that's true.

She might be trying for some brand deals of her own. NO clue why she would post that about the bank account. Maybe her parents are the make your own way type and don't give her anything? Pure conjecture here anon.

ty anon! ive been a hockey fan since i started playing at 6, which is longer ago than i care to recall. i've also been watching the wackles for a while now—as a long-time hockey fan with mass connections, i started hearing abt mack and will/the bc line starting in jrs. they're not my first hrpf rodeo (1988 was THE original 200 ft two-way canadian center + flashy offensive curly blond american winger duo), but this is my first time writing and sharing my thoughts with a broader fandom space, and i v much appreciate the (mostly) warm welcome i've gotten.

that said. these days this fandom is starting to feel less like my prior hrpf ships and more like some famously crazy ones. lots of people who can't distinguish between well thought out rpf with appropriate authorial research vs. tinhatting/player harassment/weird projection and who don't know basic fandom etiquette. im seeing too many people in my asks and on the tags unable to respect boundaries, demanding “proof” of people's fun lil webweaves, being aggressive or rude in asks and comments, harassing the players and the people in their lives, etc. i can't tell you what to post but please, please just think twice before sending me smth unkind or tinhatty. i do this for fun, as do we all. if it's no longer strictly fun; if you are genuinely upset abt smth a random hockey boy has done, or what a random stranger on the internet has written abt said random hockey boy, maybe it's time to log off and touch some grass. or ice. whatever

Will didn’t follow anyone. He unfollowed Red Bull but no follow to a BC girl. Not sure if they saw it on the nhl follow tracker (I don’t keep up with that) but his following from the last few days until now has only gone down 1

Looks like it was on the tracker! Maybe another deactivate/reactivate situation? I promise I really dont monitor their follow counts or the trackers so when you anons send me this stuff - I take it at face value.

I had a question. In your opinion why does Grace Smith who seemingly comes from an affluent household find the need to become an influencer to make money? Her brother is in NHL. It boggles me sometimes and no, I don't think it's because they need attention. At this point they know how much of their privacy is been intruded upon.

I honestly don't think Grace is doing it to make money? I think (this is my opinion, don't come at me) she likes to share parts of her life and Will's life and piggy back off of his new fame. But it doesn't read monetary to me. More so my brother is so popular now I want to join in on the fun! But TBH haven't given this line of thinking much thought.
