I’m the type of person who gets emotionally invested in certain songs/artists where I just connect with the music and when a person tells me that the music I listen to “sucks”, I take it way more personally than I should. Like, do I suck? Does the way that I think suck? Is my personality sucky? Are the feelings I have when I hear this song irrelevant because it “sucks”? When a song means something to you, it’s not just a song. It’s not just lyrics and sounds. It actually explains a part of you that you couldn’t explain for yourself and honestly people should think twice when they tell someone the songs that they love “suck”
