“oy vey…” Stan muttered when he realised what the little brat was doing. Sighing he fondly ruffled her hair and payed for the meal.

“Come on kid, pick a place… and you better eat this all or ill stuff it down ya pants.” he threatened half-heartedly.

She smirked a little. “What? You did say to order what I want.” Danielle’s smirk shifted into a smile. “Don’t worry. I’ll eat it all.” Danielle headed over to a booth near a window and sat down cross legged on one of the seats.

“…Perhaps… you sure thats safe?” He asked as he followed her over to the building.

“Nasty burger… one letter away from Tasty…” He mused. “Right then, Order what you want and ill just have the cheapest but nicest burger they have.” he shrugs.

“Yeah. As long as you pick the right one, the ghosts are cool. Trust me.”

Danielle giggled just slightly at his musings before heading up to the counter. She ordered three separate meals. He did say to order what she wanted, and she ate a lot.

He hummed in acknologment and nodds only to pause at her question.

“Look Kid, ill be honest with you. Gravity Falls is a weird place… and i dont mean with just lots of odd people, I mean weird, with lots of things happening. Lots of myths and lores, with thing going bump in the night and little men stealing your pies from the fridge… and im pretty sure the whole vally was created by a spaceship that crashed landed through the ‘floating’ cliffs…” He told her.

“So a word to the Wise… Dont go into the forest alone Danielle…  you could get hurt… or worse.”

She listened intently to his explanation and, when he was done talking, she responded with a light laugh, “It sounds like Amity Park--only we just have ghosts. Wanna see one sometime? They can be pretty cool.” Danielle pointed to the Nasty Burger which was just down the road. “There’s the place, by the way.” She picked up her pace as she headed over to the restaurant.

“Right then… The Nasty Burger it is then. Lead the way Kid.” Stan nodded.

He had no clue what he was doing, It was impulsive and his heart was too soft.

“So… Dani, got anything i need to know? Alergies? medicle stuff…?” Supernatural secrets?

Danielle headed on down the sidewalk, a bit of a skip in her step. They were actually less than a block away. “Hmm... nah, nothing I’ve figured out in these couple years of existence,”   Danielle answered. She chimed in again quickly, “--you know, since I’ve been on my own.”  Danielle glanced back at him, a mischievous glint in her eyes.  “So, you work at a tourist trap that makes money off of fake stuff, huh?” She asked. “Is... is there anything real about it? Are there any neat supernatural things going on there?”

“What’s sleep?” She laughed a little and then sighed. “--yeah. I haven’t slept in days.”

The teen looked up and a grin split across Danny’s face at the sight of his cousin. Surprise visit or not, he was always glad to see her and a bit relieved to know that she was alright. 

“You, apparently.” he said with a chuckle, floating up to her level. “How’ve you been? Keeping out of trouble? You look a hell of a lot better than the last time you swept into town, that’s for sure.”

Her smile widened a little at his response.  “Me? I never get into trouble,” She mused. “I’ve been doing ok. Living on my own, wherever I want whenever I want, is super fun.” Still... it wasn’t ALL fun and games. That, and she had recently started to destabilize again--slowly, but it was happening.  She had returned in order to ask if he had any of that spray from last time.  Danielle floated back to the ground before she started to show those telltale signs of destabilizing and shifted into her human form. 

“But hey uh... you don’t have any more of that spray stuff that saved my life last time, do you?”

Danny looked at her , and sighed “It’s okay, blowing up a car or to will happen when you fight ghosts …just next time …blow up the real nice cars and stick it to the rich guys.

She snickered a little. “With pleasure– n-not that I want to destroy anything… I really don’t.” She shook her head subtly.

Danielle kept her gaze cast at the ground.  “Um… well actually…” She sighed a little.  “I’m destabilizing again. S-slowly, but…” She tensed visibly. “What do I do?”

His hand glowed a bright red as he placed it on her chest"Hold still and relax this may feel alittle weird “he closed his eyes concentrating transferring some of his energy and ectoplasm to Dani, within min’s he was done, panting and exhausted "That should do it.

She looked a little shaken up. “W-wait, but won’t that weaken you? I don’t want to do anything that could hurt you.”

Her grin never once wavered. “Danielle– but call me Dani. With an i. And uh… I don’t really have a last name.” she explained as she shook his hand.  “We don’t get a lot of visitors in Amity Park. Unless they’re here for ghost tours or something…” She shrugged.  “Anyway, nice t’ meet you.”

Stan shrugged slightly.

“Nice to meet ya kid, and I run a tourist trap called the Mystery Shack, get idiot to take tours and look at fake things.” He grins.

“Thought I’d come and get some new ideas from the ghost sighting hotspot.”

“Anyways, im going back home tomorrow morning, I suggest we go get a bite to eat and then head back to the motel… there’s a couch in there that you can sleep on for the night…

You know any good places to eat?”

She giggled a little. The more they talked, the more she felt she would like this situation--Especially since she could use her powers to make ‘fake things’ more convincing. 

“The Nasty Burger is pretty good-- yeah, the name sounds gross, but I promise. Best burgers in Amity Park, and pretty cheap too.”

She would definitely keep on alert when back at the motel. Dani was naive, but she had learned by now to ‘sleep with one eye open’ when bunking with someone new.

Stanley sees the homeless child... remembers his own struggles... “hey kid... you Er, you Okay?”

Danielle’s gaze shifted toward the man. She didn’t know whether to talk, run away, or just kind of pretend she didn’t hear. Was he genuinely wondering if she was alright?“Huh? Yeah. Why?” She adjusted the red beanie atop her head and studied him. “Do I look not ok?”

“I mean… ya hiding it pretty good, but kid, you’re pretty pale… and I’ve been homeless before, so I know the signs… I um… look… I-“ He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Damn, Okay, I’ll come right out and say it… no kid should be out on the street… especially this close to winter… I- Er, I don’t live in this town, visiting… but if ya want… I have a spare room at home… you could come and live there… no pressure or anything, Oh and you will be working in my gift shop, but there will be food and a bed…. so what do ya say?”

He was a little nervous, wondering what on Earth he was even doing… the kid would probably think he was some creep…

She tilted her head a little.  Well... it would get her out of Amity Park and give her that job she was looking for.  Besides, if he WAS just some creep, she could get out of the situation by simply going ghost and flying off. No harm done.  “...I can get by on my own,” She started, a bit of a pout on her lips.  “But... I dunno, it could be fun. Sure.”  Dani let a little smile crack onto her lips, “But don’t think you have to pity me. Ok? I can hold my own.”
