Okay. About Marilyn Monroe being a size 16 whether being accurate or not sizes have changed over time. A size 16 back in 1955 would probably be a size 3 now. It mostly depends on manufacturers and brands.
she was a vintage size 12.

The size 16 "myth" is actually referring to Liz Hurley telling Allure magazine that Marilyn Monroe was fat. Thus, it would be a British size 16 which is a U.S size 12. Or you could simply be more accurate and Google her damn measurements. Also, your photo comparisons are, not only inaccurate, but equally ridiculous and offensive. Who cares if women of any size admire another women? YOUR FAT SHAMING NEEDS TO STOP!
This is hilarious. Fat shaming is when you say something against somebody who is plus size, I never said anything about the model in those photos, I'm simply stating the fact that Marilyn was not plus size nor a size 16. Don't put words in my mouth thank you very much, personally I think the other girl looks lovely. Did I ever say that large women are not allowed to admire Marilyn? I don't think so. They just shouldn't admire her because of the myth that she was a size 16.
Did marilyn say the Imperfection is beauty quote?
No she didn't.
You should make a fat comparison using a picture of MM in Something's Gotta Give when she's super skinny :)
To be fair she was underweight then, so maybe not :)
I hate it when people tell me (or others that are trying to prove them wrong) that "Well, you just hate heavier, curvier girls. That's why you don't think Monroe was a size 16" or whatever. Um, excuse me?? That has nothing to do with it! It could have been the other way around and it still wouldn't have mattered because it's simply not true!
I know it's very annoying, Marilyn could have been a vintage size 16 at her heaviest, because if I remember correctly she was a vintage size 12 most of the time, but they don't seem to understand that sizes are different now, and they mean a modern 16 when they say it. Of course if Marilyn really was a size 16 that wouldn't matter at all, but she definitely wasn't. I'm glad you understand :)
Here's one for everybody telling me that Marilyn was a size 16 when she was at her heaviest during Some Like It Hot and The Misfits.
Do you know how ignorant your blog fucking is?
No, I don't.
I swear your blog is like a gift from God. Finally someone who knows what they're talking about!!!!!!!
Thanks so much!
Just so you know, I'm not going to update this on a regular basis, just when I get an idea or something annoys me.
Plot Twist: Someone finds a source for all the fake Marilyn quotes.
THANK YOU FOR THIS SITE. My god so much bullshit gets perpetuated that the real Marilyn gets even further buried under stupid ish. People are so dumb. They do it to Audrey Hepburn too.
You're welcome. I know, you'd think Breakfast At Tiffany's is the only thing Audrey ever did.
yea understandable idk i'm just gonna do ones i here from her interviews then i know for sure 100000 percent that its real.
Yes, thank you so much. Or if you read them from a legitimate source like a good book.
