I admit, I always assumed the Protomolecule was pulling Miller and Julie to each other from across the universe, and that's how he "fell in love" without ever having met her. I picked up on moments like Julie seeing Miller enter her room with the bird in his hands before she ever heard of him, or her telling his words from the station to him ("kidnap job") from the start of the story. And also cause I just couldn't imagine love happening when you don't know the person.

But when I sat to think about it, that explanation is off. Miller obviously had no Protomolecule in him at the start of the story. The show just told us to suspend our disbelief that someone could fall in love like that, which is is a bit off from how realistic and serious The Expanse tends to be. I think only at the end, when he starts seeing her everywhere and they kiss is the Protomolecule's doing. The rest was a weird idealization and infatuation from Miller's part, which he was aware of (so, no entitled male fantasy at least) and helped him find his sense of justice again, but even he admitted it made no sense.

Which makes it all the weirder when other characters like Naomi and Holden described it as a love story, if one or even both parties weren't fully in on it.

Idk if I've posted about this before but I NEED Reece and Steve to guest star on Ghosts. It's only fair they've had almost all the idiots on in9.

My fav plot idea is they're a pair of archeologists who come to the house to do a dig in the yard (they emailed Alison of course and asked permission) but the in9 style twist is that one of them is a ghost but his partner doesn't know it yet. The gang just think they've both hit their heads or something. Plenty of opportunities for great gags/ moments as the ghost archeologist tries to hide that he's died from his partner.
