ANYWAYS — 

there is really no easy way to say this, so. i’m leaving, bye. for real though — i’ve been thinking about this for a while, and maybe you’ve noticed my activity has been crappy for the past ... a month at least, probably. i’ve got lots to do for school, i need to pass all the courses at my german uni as well as the ones at my home uni and since i’m in the final year of my master’s, i’ve also gotta write my thesis. ( which i have not started yet and it needs to be done by april #prayforme. )  when i’m not in class, i’m probably sleeping because i am constantly exhausted and lacking motivation to do anything else, including coming here. don’t get me wrong, i love minsoo with my whole heart, and you folks with your beautiful muses, but i just feel like he probably needs a little break and maybe, when i find the muse for him again, i might come back to him. now, it just isn’t working. i don’t have much time to come online and it’s overwhelming to keep track of everything. if we had plots or threads going on, i’m sorry. i also want to say that this has been one of my favourite rp’s i’ve ever been in, you guys are incredible, nice and wonderful, an amazing and welcoming community with the admins doing the best job possible to keep the rp the way it is and make everyone feel included.

           at that very moment—that very second—she wished she could MURDER her friend. if the prank was done in the comfort of her own home then it would be a different story. her cheeks continue to heat up as she took the offered hand in a grasp. this was surely going to be mentioned at every given moment throughout the next few y e a r s. “ i’m SERIOUSLY going to kill you. “ once mijin was back on her feet she made sure to land a punch on minsoo’s shoulder. “ i can never come back to this library now! god, i hate halloween—i’m going to get you back! “

by now, he has managed to more or less tame his laughter, although a grin remains present on minsoo’s face even after they are both safely sitting up in their seats again. ‘ i LOVE halloween, ’ he claims, an expression of utter satisfaction settling upon his features as he watches his friend from across the desk, AMUSED. ‘ it wouldn’t have been as fun if it were somewhere else — what have you been doing here anyways ? ’ he gestures around, the shelves stacked with books, and the occupants of the massive room, some of which still send DEATH glares his direction.

✧ — “Why did you let me take up the psychology minor, again?” The young female sighed, eyes still glued on the unsatisfying grade indicated in red ink on her essay. “Pretty sure this teacher has something against me. Let me tell you, his douche meter is usually about half mast, but now it’s three quarters full” 

at first he is not certain if the words are directed at HIM; although after he looks around, he realizes there is NOBODY nearby other than him and the girl. then, minsoo’s gaze falls upon the sheet of paper she’s holding between the fingers, and he thinks he can guess the reason behind the DISSATISFACTION. ‘ uh, i did not let you take anything, it was hopefully your own voluntary decision ? ’ he replies with a shrug, a bit SHEEPISH as he looks between the essay and her face. ‘ some teachers are just like that, you shouldn’t let it get to you or you’ll go crazy. ’

             his lips curled up into a smile once the texts came through, he wasn’t sure what he THOUGHT minsoo would say, but a feeling of excitement coursed through his veins at the idea of the other male coming over. even if it was just to play video games or whatever else they found themselves doing. he stood up suddenly, his phone falling to the couch as he glanced around. okay, the place was clean but not TOO clean. it was just right ( at least in his eyes ) throwing himself back on his couch and reached out for his phone to type out his reply, lips turning up into a smirk.

there is not even a reply YET and minsoo is already scrambling off of the couch, heading towards his bedroom so he can change into something more decent and less wrinkled. he is just buttoning up his shirt when his phone buzzes again where he had left it on the bed, and he reaches to grab it so he can read the messages. he is smiling when he sees them; it’s so TYPICAL to have that cheeky undertone to almost EVERY conversation he has with minkyu, no matter if it’s a real one or through the phone. minsoo replies fast, so he can finish getting dressed, make sure he has everything he needs and then he can head out towards the other’s place.

tristan.

the confirmation only has the smile on tristan’s face widening. it probably shouldn’t be considered funny for someone to actually agree with him asking if they were calling him ugly, but there was something about the way minsoo says it that can only make him laugh in amusement. plus, he was more than aware that the other had been teasing. tristan takes it in stride regardless, moving to walk alongside the other in whatever direction he chose, having NO CLUE where they were going to end up but the thought of coffee now only seemed more and more appealing. “aish, it was the one time i didn’t have any change on me–” tristan counters with an exasperated sigh, moving to playfully shove against the other’s shoulders as they walked, “i have money. i’m fine. if anything, maybe i’ll buy your coffee and finally get myself out of debt.”

minsoo likes that there is NO heavy silence hanging in the air, and that he can say the stupidest things and tristan would just take it without ending up actually offended or anything like that. and there is no way he is EVER letting this go — that’s pretty much what their whole friendship is based on ( or whatever sort of ... ship they had ), there fore minsoo quickly shakes his head at the other’s comment. ‘ NOPE. you’re not getting out of this that easily. ’ as if to show that he is being SERIOUS, or as serious as possible in such situation, he nudges the other’s shoulder right back, and then reaches for tristan’s arm to pull him across the road where a sign above the door announces that it’s still OPEN in there, even at this hour. ‘ this works ? i wish i could tell you about the coffee quality of this place but i’ve never actually been here. ’

           —— curious hues had remained  f i x a t e d  on the adjacent body, following the question ( that had spilled from hyemi’s painted lips—— in nothing short of HORROR ), intrigued with the explanation, or excuse, maybe, that would surely follow… because, after all, WHY would anybody degrade themselves in such a way? for hyemi, dressing herself, to be nothing asides from IMMACULATE, was not a choice— dressing in different ways, directed a different representation of oneself… to dress well was to show you had dignity, self-respect; to dress the other, was the opposite— therefore, a judgement had always ignited itself based off a chosen attire… but, she knew that, minsoo did not usually look this way. ❛ you don’t need to be sorry to me, you need to be sorry to yourself… ❜ her head shook alongside words, and, though, words rung SINCERE, there was an amusement laced in her tone—— perhaps, this amusement stemmed from contemplation of the following action, in which, the female glided a device from a pocket and SNAP… a picture saved to a camera roll ( there always a need to collect blackmailing content ). ❛ how could you do this to yourself? ❜ words continued, as an exhale threaded, ❛ but— you KNOW i can’t leave you like this… to leave a fashion crime unresolved would make me just as bad—— i must fix this.❜

‘ i am, ’ he says instantly, because he is — SORRY that he has been piling his clothes on the end of the bed for ages, until there was nothing left to wear but this compromising outfit. he really hoped he would not meet anyone on the way, and even if so, he was hopeful not to be recognized; instead, he’s stood here like THIS hearing the familiar sound of camera going off. ‘ nooooo. ’ it comes out as a WHINE, but he knows there’s nothing he can do about it. it’s too late now. he’s surely going to be reminded of this SCANDAL at times he expects it the least, he can already predict that. a heavy SIGH escapes his lips. ‘ i LITERALLY have nothing to wear, ’ minsoo announces, in a tone that’s almost indicating that he has lost his will to LIVE. it is not actually that bad — he would probably laugh, if it did not ruin the entire performance that’s currently happening. ‘ unless you’re hiding something more acceptable for me to put on in that bag of yours. ’

celeste.

★ ゜・。。・゜゜・ the warm laughter that escapes her lips at his question is one that she instantly regrets, even if it’s involuntarily. celeste knows it’s a legitimate question coming from legitimate concern, but it sounds sort of stupid. “ it’s not scientifically possible, i believe, to antagonize bees just because you’re alive. ” fingers roll the hem of her shirt between them, feet swaying back and forth in the air. the two don’t get to talk much outside of their cases, which is something that she’s always felt incredibly terrible for. if she was being honest, she sometimes wondered if he was ever able to u-n-w-i-n-d from his work and go out and do … karaoke or something. “ i suppose it’s good for me because my record isn’t getting longer but it’s sort of bad for you because it means less money ? if we were to look at it from a technical point of view … ” a long sigh fills her body and let’s itself out of her mouth, head tilting back to look at the baby blue sky. it was days like these - barely any clouds, almost perfectly still, and the birds singing - that made her thankful that she had been put on this floating piece of rock in space. “ remember in, like, the early 2000′s when everything was gonna be paperless ? and we’d be ruled by computers and we’d have computers and all that in us ? what ever happened to those beliefs ? ”

‘ just ‘cause science does not agree with it, does it really have to be impossible ? ’ he questions, but it’s really more just TEASING by now. ( although he does not believe that the tiny creature is not only FAKING its innocence. ) a small chuckle escapes him as he listens to her, and minsoo allows himself to relax for a short moment, shoulders rolling back, letting as much of the TENSION get away as he can right now. he can’t even remember the last time he would just sit on a park bench and not only hurry past one to get somewhere. ‘ oh, no, you really don’t need to worry about that. there’s always someone doing STUPID things, so there’s plenty of work to do. ’ this time, his smile is a bit less happy, because he’s instantly reminded of the RESPONSIBILITIES he has. ‘ i remember. i guess we’re slacking. though i guess it’d be kinda cool to have computers in us. you should ask those alien friends of yours if they have something like that at their home already. ’

minkyu.

        minkyu drew in a breath, tossing the controller to the side. playing video games was fun, but it was usually much more fun if he had someone else to play with. ( playing by himself was NEVER fun ) he shook his head and reached for his phone, scrolling through his contacts. a slow smile spread onto his features when he came across minsoo’s name, maybe he wasn’t too busy.

           he fired off the texts, turning the ringer on on his phone so he could be sure he’d ACTUALLY get the notification when or if he texted back. turning his attention back to the ps4 he started playing again, trying to distract himself. @notminsoo

he is not actually busy when his phone buzzes; minsoo is folded on the sofa in front of the tv that is playing some war documentary he is trying to pay attention to. he reaches to SNATCH the device from the coffee table, where it lies accompanied by empty cups and plates and some papers. it’s not just one text, it’s FOUR of them, and he wonders who could want to get a hold of him so URGENTLY, that is, until he sees the name of the person that sent them. his lips curl into a smile that’s almost WICKED and he does sit up from his sprawled position as his thumb dance over the touch screen to type out a reply.

            —— following an  e a r l y  morning lecture, in which hyemi dedicated her time to questioning the importance of ( to have to get herself from her slumber, for anything asides work, didn’t always go down well with the female—— because, though yes, she was well-acquainted with the early rising, seeing as she always NEEDED more hours in a day, hyemi still had the preference of sleeping beyond six in the morning ), the female had made the decision to return to her HOME… after all, her store was in  c a p a b l e  hands ( she trusted all of her workers—— besides, they know to contact her if it came to it ) and there was a pile of work  a s k i n g  to be tended to. hyemi was never one to fall behind—— it being often that, when given tasks, they are completed within just a few  m o m e n t s  following being set ( how else is one to succeed, if they are SLACKING? )—— and, so, several hours since she had  l e f t  her apartment, she was returning, belongings settled across forearms ( whilst, fabrics danced off her frame with elegance—— a perfumed scent clinging, almost, intoxicating ). heels clicked lightly, against the  f l o o r  of the hall, DETERMINATION in her stride, until a body approached too close ( the potential for collision being a trigger for hyemi to draw herself to a halt ) and, just as blasphemies were to tumble of painted lips, recognition sparked in irises, ❛ minsoo? ❜ a dramatised gasp, met with a palm to conceal the widening of her mouth, ❛ oh my god, i thought BETTER of you… you’re—— you’re one of them. ❜ words emitted, as an features  s e t t l e d  into an expression that could only be describe as pure horror, ❛ did someone do this to you? ❜

if the power of invisibility was something one could buy, minsoo would pay all of his money for it right now — but SADLY, it’s not, therefore he has to be here and face this unfortunate situation. his gaze runs over the other, though he does not have to look too closely to know that he would not spot a single flaw. when he does look up, it’s almost SHYLY. ‘ i’m sorry, ’ he is quick to apologize, although he knows it can hardly make up for what his current state is like. instead of brushing it off as nonsense, he decides to play along, a small jut of his lower lip accompanying the following words. ‘ i let this happen — it’s my fault and i don’t think i’ll ever forgive myself. ’ he shakes his head, huffing, glancing down at his attire like it’s something he does not even wish to see HIMSELF, even less make someone spend time in his company. the massive pile of clothing that he’s carrying not helping AT ALL. ‘ i understand if you’d rather carry on walking and pretend you don’t know me — i would do so MYSELF if i could. ’

          although she was certain she felt her heart in her throat and had numb limbs, the prank was acknowledged and possibly applaud. once her mind began to piece the puzzles together and saw her friend HYSTERICALLY laughing behind his hands, her muscles relaxed and she laid d e a d on the floor. a laugh of her own began after a slight sigh of relief. at least it wasn’t a real spider. mijin covered her face with her hands out of an embarrassment. every pair of eyes were on them, which was fair since she screamed murder. “ i hate you SO god damn much. “ she whispered beneath her palms. 

there is a moment when he thinks that she is not going to appreciate the perfect opportunity he took here — and that she might actually get upset, but that only lasts for a mere SECOND. then, he notices the PINK rising up to his friend’s face, and there is a grin of his own making appearance again. such a small thing, and he is going to make sure that this won’t get forgotten so EASILY, either. eventually, the attention of the rest of the room’s occupants returns to whatever they had been doing before, and minsoo is finally able to contain his own laughter, offering his hand towards mijin to help her get up. ‘ it was BRILLIANT, though, you have to admit that much. ’

taesuk.

                “It’s fine—” Taesuk shrugs, the small smile that Minsoo offers him causing something FAMILIAR to turn in the pit of his belly. “I wasn’t really completely sold on it anyways,” he explains, and he definitely wasn’t being dishonest in saying that. If anything, he’d planned on s e t t l i n g for the small moleskin in an effort to go ahead and start his flower journal that evening, but if the object held up his ( seemingly fragile ) time with Minsoo, then it certainly wasn’t worth it to him in the end. He allows for the short walk to the coffee shop to be filled with COMFORTABLE silence, rather than occupying it with his own mindless chatter. Taesuk knew there’d be plenty of time for the two of them to chat about things later, so he lets the quiet bask over him for the time being— hands curling anxiously in the pockets of his hoodie. What if I bring up everything from before, and he brushes it off like nothing? What if Minsoo was fine with Taesuk dipping, because he didn’t actually feel anything for him to begin with? They were thoughts that continued to plague him during the small journey, teeth worrying over his lower lip.                  The train of thought is soon broken by the appearance of the coffee shop, however— the boy making his way in way in as soon as he’s close enough. Taesuk glances over his shoulder once as he heads over towards an empty table— almost as if reassuring himself that the elder was still following. “Did you wanna go ahead and order first?” the boy asks, already sliding into one of the booths. “Or you can just tell me what you want and I can go up there and order f o r us.” It probably wasn’t NECESSARY for Sook to pay for the both of them, but he figured since he was the one who suggested this to begin with, then it was definitely the least he could do.

strangely out of place is what minsoo feels once they’re seated — it’s a feeling that he is not very accustomed to, not when it comes to visiting coffee shops; and now when it comes to taesuk, not YET, anyways. ( he should be ... it probably has to do with him completely and dumbly avoiding the other male over the past months. ) he’s quiet for a moment before he realizes that taesuk is waiting for him to answer the question, that they are NO LONGER reading each other’s minds and instantly know what the other is going to get. old habits die hard. ‘ i just — i’ll have coffee, black, no sugar. thanks. ’ he doesn’t think his usual go to drink is hard to remember, and he would explain to ANYONE willing to listen just why it was the best one. he doesn’t this time, just offers a small smile instead.

it’s several moments later with their drinks in front of them that he dares speak again, observing the little clouds of steam rise up from the cup, dissolving in the warm air. he’s not sure if he should say something first; he doesn’t know WHAT, though, so he doesn’t, just directs his gaze towards his companion, EXPECTANT. it was taesuk that suggested this after all, so he might as well be the first one to say something. although minsoo thinks he can guess what it is going to be — a SORRY, followed by some more reason why exactly he is sorry. he prepares himself for that.

noori.

his change of heart is a bit of a surprise, though not an unwelcome one. like she’d told him; she’d wanted to catch-up, interested to see what he’s been up to. but that’s noori in general – curious. too curious for her own good, too nosy sometimes; it usually gets her into trouble. but that doesn’t stop her from taking the invitation he’d extended, nodding. “yeah, c’mon. there’s a free booth over there.” she wags a pinky into the general direction of said booth — her hand otherwise occupied by the drink she’s holding — before taking the lead, heading over there and clearly expecting him to follow. she’s always been a bit ahead of others, preferring to take charge (and he should remember that from… before). “so how’ve you been? it’s been a while, right?” sitting down, she gets cozy, fingers sliding through her hair as she surveys their area. it’s rather quiet, with a few other customers scattered around, so that’s good; they’d be able to talk comfortably. not quite in the mood for any kind of awkward chit-chat, however, she decides to go for the ultimate ice-breaker; there’s a hint of a smirk as she looks back at him and teases. “imagine my surprise to hear you’ve been frolicking with my brother!”

it looks like his decision to stick around after all pleases the other, even though minsoo is still not sure if this was a GOOD idea as he follows noori through the room towards the unoccupied table. it’s like, unlike him she doesn’t feel at all weird or awkward about this unplanned ENCOUNTER of theirs; like catching up with an old friend. upon hearing her question, he only offers a shrug. ‘ yeah — i’ve been okay. ’ he really doesn’t have much to talk about when it comes to his life, as it’s been more or less the same since. although when she suddenly brings up the subject of her brother, it takes minsoo off guard, NOT PREPARED to be faced with that topic. which, he realizes, he should have known better because of course she would want to talk about that. he thinks he spots hints of a smile around the corner of his companion’s lips, and he wishes he could mirror it. ( he CAN’T, there is still that stupidly dull ache he feels anytime he has to focus his thoughts back towards taesuk. ) ‘ uh — we haven’t, no, ’ he argues WEAKLY, because he really does not know what to say to that. it’s just friendly chat, he is aware of that, but that doesn’t really make it any easier. ‘ we haven’t been — i don’t know. ’ he GIVES UP, slouching in his seat, gaze dropping to where his fingers are curled  tightly around his paper cup. ‘ it doesn’t matter. how have you been ? ’
