I've seen a post about this before but can't find it but can we please stop acting like in s1 e5 Otis left Eric at the bus stop because he didn't care about him and start realising that he left because he realised that what Ruby was going through and what Maeve was asking him to do was so important for so many people.

It's completely understandable that Eric was annoyed, I get it. And I don't think Otis is a Saint. But throughout the series it's clear how much Otis cares for Eric, he got all dressed up and was ready to do what makes Eric happened but decided that the people who were put through harassment were more important than a birthday trip that he could make up to Eric

The thing is, I 100% got the impression that Jackson and Viv were only supposed to be friends. They neeeever gave teen romance. He needed a FRIEND last season over anything else and that’s what they gave him. Viv wasn’t interested in him romantically and he didn’t want a romance with her either. I get why people shipped them and all and it’s fine if you still do, but seeing them become a couple would’ve really been a waste in my opinion.

He and cal on the other hand? Definitely a set up there. Not to mention the chemistry they had? He was head over heels for them. I hope they handle the two of them well in later seasons. Their relationship is part of a bigger conversation about queer relationships that needs to be had. I don’t think Jackson has to label himself really. He and cal can just be. He doesn’t have to box himself in. But maybe they wanna handle it differently. Just hope their relationship works out in the end.

While I do hope they continue to develop their relationship further down the line I do still feel like they handled Cal and Jackson's storyline very well in this season. At least for me, I related to it A Lot. Like, Cal's line about Jackson still seeing them as a girl is exactly what my ex said to me- word for word. While I agree that their relationship is a part of a bigger part of queer relationships and that jackson doesn't have to label himself I'm personally glad they showed it not working out. I'm glad that Cal explained what they were feeling and how it wouldn't be a good idea and I'm glad they showed Jackson being reflective and trying to understand. I'm glad they stayed friends too. I think the element of being confused is another part of queer relationships that I haven't seen portrayed in such a sensible, relatively healthy, and from my experience extremely accurate manner.

#Like as much as I like them as a couple #It's not fair to cal to have to put aside their own identity #And have to deal with the pain that can come with someone not seeing you as who you are #And I think Jackson would agree that he doesn't want Cal to get hurt because of him #I hope these thoughts make sense!! This storyline hit so close to home for me haha #Also @ op /nm I'm not coming for you or anything your thoughts are so valid!#I hope u don't mind me adding my thoughts! :)

i don’t want adam and rahim to be a thing. IF we get a s4, i hope they remain friends and nothing more. if they give adam another love interest i hope it’s a new character cause if they make him and rahim a thing it’s gonna look like they’re just recycling relationships, does that make sense? like we have three openly gay characters in the show, who are we going to choose as the love interest for the bisexual boy? let them be JUST friends. adam deserves to have friends and i don’t think rahim would want him as his boyfriend anyway but yeah

i love that moment in sex education s3 where hope just automatically assumes that adam is the head boy and shakes his hand and ignores jackson completely. it so easily shows hope’s casual racism and how much she doesn’t care about what she’s done or what it means. and it very nicely sets up/sows the seeds for how hope treats viv later and when she tells her that of course it’s all about “how it looks”

Even though we don’t see all that much of Adam and Ola’s friendship, the way they allude to them being close in the way Adam knows about her sister going to college and her mom, and Ola not being surprised by Adam liking the Kardashians is just really special to me considering how big the cast is, it’s just a really lovely way for us to know they’re still in each other’s lives and I really like it
