the red-tailed black cockatoo is a large parrot found in dry areas of australia. with five subspecies that are mainly distinguished by beak size, this cockatoo is mainly known for the bold red bands on the underside of the male’s tail. they often inhabit eucalyptus forests. while relatively adaptable to captivity as far as members of the cockatoo family go, they are rare as pets outside of australia.
the eurasian jackdaw is a medium-sized member of the corvid family found in europe, asia, and africa. like other corvids, they are known both to be intelligent and to favor shiny objects. eurasian jackdaws are a deep gray overall with a black cap, wings, and tail, and distinct blue-gray eyes. jackdaws are social birds that often live in loud, noisy flocks, and are rarely seen as single birds.

the fact that these brands are now taking the initiative to respond to the people who look through their shallow marketing strategies with “UUUUHHH ACTUALLY YOU’RE THE REAL CRINGE FOR NOT SHUTTING UP AND LAUGHING AT OUR JOKES LIKE A GOOD LITTLE CUSTOMER” shows that we really need to get straight to point z already and start guillotining CEOs

seasonal reminder: leave dandelions alone if you can! they’re important for bees, which are having a hard time already. if you have to get rid of them, pull them by hand, don’t spray pesticide!
Big Boy and Big Lady chilling on the feeder to get out of the snow storm. even though they’re invasives i really can’t be mad about them eating at the feeder, they’re completely tolerant of the native species eating with them and will even break up fights and reprimand bullies. Dove Security Team will not allow rowdiness, you WILL be wingslapped off the dinner table.
