Cyrus Belton, a 14 year old child, was murdered by Rick Chow. Why? Because Chow assumed he was shoplifting ( and his own security cameras proved that Cyrus didn’t). This is very reminiscent of Latasha Harlins, who was 15 years old and was murdered by the shop owner Soon Ja Du because she suspected Latasha of shoplifting.
Chow’s store has been wrecked by locals, like what happened with Du’s shop.
Many articles note that Chow has dealt with many shoplifting incidences in the past, but to chase and kill a child over a water bottle is extreme and is no way justifiable. From what I understand, Chow is being held without bond.
Chow’s son, Andy, admitted that he didn’t see a gun on Cyrus Belton. So you saying, he had a gun, is bullshit. They chased a 14 year old down and shot him. Cyrus didn’t even steal anything. Chow’s own security cameras showed that Cyrus was told to put his backpack on the ice cream cooler, that he pulled out 4 water bottles but put them back, and lifted his shirt to show he didn’t take anything. Chow, his son, AND his wife were watching him.
There is no justifying shooting someone in the back that was fleeing. Some would consider that a war crime. “bUt HE hAD a GuN?!” There was no gun. The sheriff said there was no gun and that there was no theft. AND they said that there were multiple incidents at that Shell specifically, with that family involving a gun.
this Asian American family of 3, all grown adults, leave their corner store that they’re so concerned about being stolen from, to chase down a 14 year old Black boy for what they ASSUMED was a $1.00 bottle of water, and shot him dead when the boy brandished gun he had on him to warn them back and protect himself, and instead of letting him go and leaving well enough alone, the father came and shot that boy dead.
for a bottle of water.
the surveillance video of first, the mother following Cyrus around the store, and then all three of them running out behind him with threatening looks on their faces is insane. absolutely disgusting.
So just an update since this…a lot of people are about to lose healthcare because they didn’t realize that their state’s Medicaid and Medicare is called something specific. For example, in Georgia Medicaid it’s call PeachCare.
If you’re going to call someone Michael Jackson Level Famous, understand that they’re not.Michael Jackson was Michael Jackson famous before social media. Like he only had live performances, CDs, and music videos that you had to catch at a specific time in order to watch. Like I’m talking you need a tv guide, magazine, or newspaper to find out when it was dropping.
Somewhere between 10-15 countries have a statue of Michael Jackson. Gangs called a temporary truce so Michael Jackson could shoot a music video, and they did it unprompted because they caught wind of him wanting to shoot in that location. They weren’t asked to.
Michael Jackson was out here shutting down a Laker’s game with his mere presence. Michael Jackson was the reason music videos became entire productions. He was known in remote areas of the world, like I’m talking zero to limited television or radio access. He had Princess Diana upset because he didn’t perform Dirty Diana.
A man records himself torching his work place while saying "All you had to do was pay us enough to live. Or at least enough not to do this."
And so many people are like “Fuck yeah, eat the rich.”
This white guy, literally started a fire in warehouse, with the night shift crew. 20 people with (and I’m just assuming) people waiting on them at home.
“Oh but he was only paid $18 an hour in California where the minimum wage is like $23”…okay? That’s a perfectly good reason to endanger the lives of his coworkers? Here’s a fun fact, he was allegedly hired through a temp agency, and when you go through them you normally get paid less than those who were hired directly.
Yes, he deserves a livable wage but burning down a building with people in it? AND POSTING A VIDEO TO SOCIAL MEDIA THAT IS ALREADY CIRCULATED?!
And people are making him a martyr like Luigi?! Like this man could have easily killed his coworkers and yall are okay with because he’s sticking it to the man?! It took 117 firefighter teams to out that out. Stop for five minutes and think about the irreparable damage that could have done had it became an uncontrolled wildfire because some of that area is in a dry. He put hundreds of people out of work, because(again) it’s broken down into shifts. So call me a bootlicker, because there are other options outside of committing arson.
One of the crazy things on here, outside of the US, Argentina, and Israel all voting against calling the Transatlanic Slave Trade the “gravest crime against humanity” and calls to reparations for the descendant, is the amount of yellow that is that it’s mostly European countries and a former European penal colony. Like ignoring Japan and Fiji for a hot second, it’s mostly countries that either had their hand in or profited off of the Transatlantic Slave Trade that decided not to vote…52 countries.
The fact that Kim Kardashian is crying on the internet for something she essentially brought on herself is crazy. ( like literally took the time to open her phone’s camera or an app and then cried).
She failed the bar…after using ChatGPT to study. The same woman who said people were lazy and didn’t want to work.
She doesn’t have the educational foundation to pass. It took four attempts in the baby bar just for her to pass.
And what I mean by educational foundation, is that she’s in a program meant for paralegals. And most states require paralegals to have an associate or bachelors degree. Like she’s just studying the material that would be on the exam, but not in depth knowledge to critically think and understand what was on the exam. Why? Because she only has a high school diploma! And I get it’s frustrating for her, but she truly lacks the foundational knowledge, something you truly develop in college, while relying on ChatGPT, something is known to give false or outdated information to study was an L on her part.
Like if I were to give a paraprofessional/teacher’s aide and a stay at home mom with just a high school diploma the same exam material and then give them the same exam elementary school teachers have to take in order to get certification, the para would score higher or even pass, due to both experience and knowledge, and the fact that most paraprofessional positions requires at least two years of a college education and passing a general knowledge test in some states.
Once again, a good chunk of Swifties are obtuse. So on Halloween, Kayla Nicole( Travis’s ex girlfriend) dressed as R&B singer Toni Braxton, specifically from the video “He Wasn’t Man Enough for me”. Specifically to this lyric soundbyte of
“Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?
I'm not thinking 'bout him
But you married him
Do you know I made him leave?
Do you know he begged to stay with me?
He wasn't man enough for me.”
Kayla was literally saying, she dumped him. You have him leave me alone.
Why? Because some Swifties decided to bother her while she was out here living her best life. Some going as far as saying she was dressed like Taylor. Like no, she was dressed as Toni Braxton. Here’s a side by side comparison of Kayla and Toni
(Right Kayla Nicole. Left: Toni Braxton)
That is the funniest way to say fuck off to someone.
I am witnessing Swifties lose their shit over the K-pop Demon Hunter soundtrack. On some “Oh, y’all rag on Taylor for release the same song ‘20’ times”. All because Golden( and really the entire album) had multiple versions.
However, the main difference between the same CD Taylor put out 26 times, and KPDH is the KPDH has been translated into multiple languages.
..so when is Ms.Swift going to release Ophelia in Mandarin?
They killed a lot of people they disagreed with. Martin Luther King,Jr, Malcom X, Fred Hampton. If you want a more recent public figure, the caucus leader for Minnesota, Melissa Hartman and almost John A. Hoffman.
Lyndon B Johnson once said “ If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”
What’s crazy about how a lot of people are reacting to Charlie Kirk’s death is justified. Like I feel bad about his kids, who possibly witness their father’s death, and those students that were there..but i don’t feel bad for Kirk. Like that man said that school shootings was out of pocket( which is describing it nicely).
He said “We must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty...I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."
Like never mind children were dying in schools because of loose gun laws. And in the end, his own rhetoric got him killed. Charlie Kirk fought to make that worse. He pushed for fewer restrictions on guns, In many states, domestic abusers keep their weapons. In others, buyers are not screened for mental illness or violent criminal history.
And his politics didn’t stop at guns. He supported revoking the immigration status of people not “white enough,” and cheered on policies that destabilize entire regions. He was racist, on top of a sexist, spreading lies that killed people, shaped public policy with non-factual inflammatory rhetoric. His influence caused more deaths than any criminal ever could. Reactions to his death are a reflection of . He was not an activist he was a tool of regression, a voice for hate, and a danger to the vulnerable. Not everyone deserves to be mourned. Some leave behind only the harm they caused. Hate will be his legacy.
For those who fear expressing their true feelings will worsen things, remember this: our adversaries have never relied on truth to attack us. They care not for the truth( really it’s only when it fits their narrative). For years, they have deceived us about our humanity, manipulated numbers, and portrayed us as a threat. They don’t need honesty to harm us, so don’t give it up. Be authentic. Embrace your emotions—sadness, anger, relief, joy. You don’t owe anyone a performance of grief to protect those who would never protect you.

There's no plausible in-universe excuse for what happened to Katniss. BUT THE CLARK KENT THING WOULD BE SO EASY TO FIX.
It would make SO much sense in-universe if Clark, at some point, trained himself out of his Kansan accent in order to be taken more seriously/not stand out as much once he moves to Metropolis and especially starts working for The Daily Planet, because that's something that real people especially with southern, midwestern, or Appalachian roots have to do to avoid academic and workplace discrimination in particular. But as far as I know, that has never been explored in any Superman canon. Which is a massive shame because it would make Clark's struggles with identity (being both an alien from Krypton and a homegrown farm boy) hit home even harder for a LOT of people.
Actually people training themselves not to speak with their normal accent is actually historical. Many actors, actresses, and radio show hosts would all often speak using a MidAtlantic accent, despite being born in Texas or South Dakota, to make themselves more marketable. Why? Well, to make themselves seem more elite, as many elite schools and universities sought to blend American and British features for formal speaking, and separate themselves from lower class or nonwhite citizens.
People still do it today for numerous reasons, which is why so many people are the “grammar police”.

Now that the University of Pennsylvania has effectively stripped Lia Thomas of her titles and medals, I would like to congratulate Riley Gaines for moving up to 5th place from 5th place…and to 85th place from the Olympic trials.
Like she’s a decent swimmer, but she tied for 5th place. She lost a race to 4 other people, but only just now had a problem with it.
