Background :

Renée was Kashe's childhood friend. He was not born with a core piece like him but always been interested in them. The jealous kid he is, he always envied those with an ability. Even when he saw how they were treated by society in the earlier days Ren tried to find ways to obtain a core piece, one of them being "tearing off" the core from them with his gruesome experiments. None of his experiments were successful, throwing him in a slump.

Though one day by pure luck he found a weakened "core source". After failing to find compatible humans for their core pieces, this creature was at the brink of death. Renée saw this creature as his god. His mind and heart was racing. He carefully approached it and offered a mutual contract that would make both of them more powerful.

That is when he finally obtained his objective. Now, he was an ability user, no... to him he was the Messiah of ability users. That could be the only way to explain his encounter with "God".
