I want to see Kate and Colin ruining Anthony’s day so bad. Stress this man out please. Bring Newton into the plans. Lady Danbury too. Like nothing serious just lil pranks or something. Lil quips. Just them being low key unhelpful (on the surface) when one of the siblings is causing drama and he has to clean it up.
I’m sorry but if they’re going to have more Kate and Anthony content in later seasons I’m gonna need them to explore the potential of best friends Kate and Colin
Sir Philip was never one of my favourites from the books but in the show seeing that nerdy plant boy gave me life
About to rewatch season 2 of bridgerton as if I am a fan of the snow and not the books so see how I feel and try and focus on all the things I like.
The epilogue was beautiful and I would have loved to have seen that kind of dynamic explored for at least half of the show
I feel like maybe I’m missing something and I definitely need to rewatch because I’m seeing this season being praised for Kate and Anthony’s emotion connection but I just didn’t get that??
Like we were told they should have a connection because of their similarities but I never felt like we got to see them explore that with each other?
The thing that frustrates me so much is I liked the potential of the changes they made and I would have loved to have seen those actually executed well.
If they’d have cut the love triangle and spent actual time on Kate and Anthony working out their complex relationships with their families whilst going through an enemies to lovers slow burn I would have been HERE for it. But most of the show was the drama of the love triangle for me and they could have explored tensions in Kate and Edwina’s relationship in a different way
The change to the bee scene for example is something I loved but the build up wasn’t there so i couldn’t buy Anthony being in love with Kate at that point and part of the reason he’s so scared is because of how much he’s supposed to care for her in that moment.
Edwina deserved better than the love triangle too

I’m still not sorry about how much I love them.
It’s the way Kate makes Colin - one of the smoothest members of the ton- stutter and feel off his game. That’s when he KNEW. Like he had a feeling before definitely but that was IT. Before that he was enjoying the games but felt in control but then she was like nah this is my game and he was like ‘Anthony is going to marry her and we will spend the rest of our lives annoying him together’
The way she leaves straight after as well feels like such a power move of ‘yes I will incites chaos and then leave’
Crying over not getting this.
This is what I mean when I say it felt like it was missing some of the joy.
I am 100% going to rewatch because I am sure there are things to love about this season but with TVWLM being one of my favourite books from the series (mainly because of the emotional intensity) I’m just not feeling it right now.
The discarding of the emotional intimacy and connection amidst the animosity they shared for what felt like simply sexual tension and a few short moments of connection made it lose its charm.
The scene with Anthony and Gregory should have been MUCH earlier in the season
For me there wasn’t enough emotional connection established early on and throughout to consider it a true slow burn.
Also immensely happy that Will’s bar is about to pop off and that Colin actually listened to him
