âOui. Iâm new here. Is it that obvious?â
âI was new onceâ the memory of being duck taped to the flag pole came back and he couldnât help but get angry. âGood luckâ Fletcher picked up his lap top and moved to a different table in the room.
God dammit, Holly thought in annoyance, finding her clothes in her locker in the girlâs locker room missing. She knew that her teammates on the volleyball team were testing her but this? Totally annoying. Making her way back to her dorm in her towel, her phone in one hand while the other kept her towel from slipping, she was pretty proud of herself for not running into any of her classmates yet- that is, until she turned around the corner. Her eyes widened before glancing at her towel-clad self then back at her fellow student. Smiling sheepishly, she opened her phone to the notes app, typing in her words before showing her phone to her classmate: âHi, hello, letâs keep this between us, yes?â
He glanced at the screen, reading the sentence in under a second before signing to her âhundred bucks or I take a picture and send it to everyone in schoolâ. He figured she was just a deaf person that couldnât speak. It didnât occur to him that it was just someone refusing to talk.Â
âDo you think we can sneak out of here and go to France to meet some french guys? Because thatâs what I wanna do.â
âWho said French guys want to meet you?â
âIn a second hold onâ
ânope!â he smiled and started to tickle her.
âWhat?â Nova looked up from her sketch book, pulling the earphones out of her ears.
âYouâre standing on my shoelaceâ he clarified, looking down at his foot.Â
âOh, it was orgasmic,â she said sarcastically.
âI promise you, it definitely can beâ he pointed out, noting her sarcasm. He on the other hand was being completely serious.
âokayâŠor you could say please?â
he looked away from his phone finally recognizing who it was, and smiled âhmm, nah, i think move is sufficientâ he chuckled.
âmoveâ
âWha- What are you doing?! Who is this?!â Jamie felt her heart racing, not sure who was messing with her and if it had a malicious tone or not.
Fletcher looked up from his laptop to see Jamie getting bullied, yet again, but this time did nothing to stop it. Instead he sort of just observed and went on with his programing.
âIâve increased the amount of squats I do and itâs really paying off.. I mean, look at how great my butt looks!â
His eyes raked her figure slowly, stopping at her ass. Fletcher smirked and nodded, âyou got me thereâ for once he didnât have anything offensive to say towards the blonde cheerleader.
âI fried my neck on the curling iron this morning,â Cat complained, checking the mark in the mirror on her locker door. âAnd it hurts like a bitch. Last time I curl my hair before class.â
He shrugged âsometimes a little pain can feel goodâ
âGod, what is with everyone at this school?â Quinn asked, following behind Fletcher. She was in a bad mood already, and he hadnât helped. âIâm not weird because Iâm smart, you half wit.â
He stopped, contemplating if he should further indulge such a person who continuously has to say they are smart to not only convince themselves, but others as well. He merely laughed to himself and continued walking. What a weirdo. In that moment, Lotus (his robot turtle) walked out of his back pack, sat on top of it, stuck out a virtual middle finger towards her, then retreated back into their hiding spot.Â
âFletcher, Iâm sorry,â she said as she turned around. She highly doubted that he would accept her apology, but she didnât mean it. She didnât mean to bring up his experience. âIâm disgusted with myself for saying that and Iâm truly sorry that you went through that. I know that you accepting my apology is a slim to none chance⊠but I swear I didnât mean that.â At the mentioning of the kid, she tensed up. âThe kidâs going to be given up for adoption. Itâs going to be far away from me and this place.â
He flicks her off without turning around and keeps walking.
