 it was easy to be like this with kids. alec had always had a soft spot for children, if he were to be honest. having max in idris most of the time was a bit of a disappointment, considering he didn’t get to play the role of big brother very often. and izzy hadn’t been too much younger than him. he glanced over at her before his attention fell to the boy again. “i’d like that a lot. what toys do you have, huh??”

  alec just barley stopped himself from scoffing at those words. he had been underestimated far too much in his life, and it was really starting to piss him off. “i think it’s cute that you’re going to underestimate me. i’ve killed things scarier than you. if you think you’ll be a challenge, i might actually laugh.”

I will always find you. ❞ Magnus refused to ever leave Alec again, he needed Alec more than he even realized, the thought of losing him was too much. ❝ Alexander, I love you… ❞

     it felt like home, being back in magnus’ arms. it didn’t want to leave anytime soon, not if he had a say in it. they had already been through so much, alec just wanted to take the other and ensure that nothing else was going to happen for some time. they deserved that, right?? alec let out a small sigh of relief when he heard his name uttered, heart racing faster. magnus could always make him feel like that, and he couldn’t imagine ever growing tired of it. smiling softly, he leaned into the hand cupping his cheek, gazing back at his boyfriend. it didn’t matter how they got here and why they here, not right then. he was just happy that magnus was here as well. “promise?? i hope you know that i would do the same. i couldn’t lose you.” hearing those three words set his heart fluttering yet again, and his smile only widened. “i love you too, magnus. i’m so glad you’re here. i was worried that you wouldn’t be, and no one knows how any of this came to be.”

   “--magnus??” the name was breathed out desperately as alec took a small step forward. ever since he had arrived in seattle somehow, he had been searching everywhere that he could for the others. but there had been that small fear that no one else would be here -- that magnus wouldn’t be in this place. it had already been too much whenever alec had thought his boyfriend had been killed with the activation of the sword. that was a fear that he had never known, and to be sent to another city so soon after without him was just another reminder of what could have occurred. alec took more steps until he was speeding towards the warlock, arms immediately wrapping around him. ( at this point, he was tempted to just not let him go ). “by the angel, i was so afraid that you wouldn’t be here. and after i thought you were lost before, i -- i couldn’t deal with that.”
