Toni Ipres from hiniabn Current M!A: none Now blind in her left eye. 2/18/15- Back from almost 5 month hiatus 3/20/15 Started working at Sky City Bar Toni has been through a lot the past year. Not as much as her friends, but it's still quite a bit, and she has the scars to prove it. A hand print burn on her face, faded over the months, but still shiny and discolored. Tear scars on her for arms from when she had bloodlust. Knife marks from when she almost died at the hands of William, and others much less visible. She's not exactly the fresh faced Toni she had been. She lives in her two bedroom apartment, seeking jobs, taking odd jobs and hoping for something better.
Ooc: I’ve not been on in a while. At one point my computer charger exploded and I got a new computer two weeks ago but I’ve not been on much as I’ve been focusing on getting grad school ready.
If anyone wants to keep up with me I update my personal blog with dumb stuff when I’m at work: hooksandhearts

Shoes and clipboards are almost done! The shoes just need a bit of touch up and the Moon and Sun. I’m really excited for these costumes this weekend. blueeyesdante has made the most amazing Kevin teeth!!
Cecil and Kevin reporting live from the Tates “not at comic con” event with beautiful Carlos. Didn’t make it to SDCC again…someday!! With blueeyesdante as the terrifying Kevin and hooksandhearts as perfect Carlos
“Heh, messes with my depth perception some though, you know? Yeah, well I took a job way over my head, but I didn’t know it until I was neck high in it.” Toni shrugged and licked her lips a moment.
“But it was good to have a good purpose job. Just doing something to help others, being useful. Scares the shit out of Veser though… So I have to be more careful about the jobs I take.” Toni took a bite of her slice and then a few panicked extra bites as some cheese came off with it.
He scrunches up his nose, watching the young woman’s duller coloured eye.  That most really put a dampener on day to day activities. “Aw jeeze… At least yer ok though, right?” He offers a small shrug and a dumb smile.
Miles nods, his expression a bit softer, kinder, as he completely understands Toni’s predicament. “I ain’t sayin’, yanno, fuck Veser, but. If yer happy doin’ what yer doin’, if it helps pay the bills and makes ya happy, you should just do it…”
“I mean, yeah. I’m alright, I wasn’t when I realized it was gone for good.” Toni laughed and let the pizza slice rest on her knee. “An eye patch though, a cool one. i’d look pretty bad ass, wouldn’t I?” She leaned back and closed her eyes to think about it.
“Mmm, it does, it’s a nice chuck of change, when I do get paid for them. I’ve taken one or two that were for free, because I need the practice.” She opened her eyes, and slid them to glance at Miles. “I do alright, more than enough to pay for just me, which ... is probably why I feed people so often.” Toni grinned. “Man, I haven’t cooked for someone in a while though.”
“Coffee? Could I come with? The machine I had broke, I needed it for experiments…” He started back at her, eyes glowing orange for a second. The prophet was getting impatient, but it might as well let Valund have fun. No use killing your subject through exhaustion.
She gave his shoulder a pat, maybe a bit harder than she meant to. “Yeah, sure thing.” Toni said with a grin and walked off to lead the way. It was just a block or so down the street.
“It’s recent.” She says with a huff. “It was slowly going and my last tracking job got rough.” Toni rubbed at it lightly. “Guess it could only take so many hits you know?”
“I’m fine though, I mean, Veser suggested some people to go to about getting it fixed or replaced but… I’m not sure I want to, or yet.” Toni silenced herself buy stuffing food in her mouth.
“Oh fuck, that really sucks. Sorry t’ hear it Toni…” His face scrunched up a bit at the thought of the woman getting knocked about in any capacity. But at least she was till in one piece, so that was reassuring.Â
He hummed thoughtfully, gave a slight nod too. “’S your eye, so it’s your call, man. But hey- If ya don’t end up gettin’ it fixed, ya can invest in an eye patch. That’d make ya look pretty badass.”Â
“Heh, messes with my depth perception some though, you know? Yeah, well I took a job way over my head, but I didn’t know it until I was neck high in it.” Toni shrugged and licked her lips a moment.

Toni wrinkled her nose slightly. She couldn’t help but be a little hard. She rolled her shoulders back some and ran her hands over her hair with a soft groan. “Okay… okay.”
And though she got busted up last time, something in her was eager to go again.
“I have to say, it was fun… doing that kind of stuff again…”
“I’m sure there are going to be plenty more times for you to do stuff like that, given what we just went through.” He gave her shoulder a pat. “You’ll be the first to know.”
She can’t help but look a little sheepish at the slap, but grins through it. “Yeh, well, with one eye blind I’m afraid I might drop everything. I’ll have to practice with plastic.” She said with a grin and rubbing at the back of her neck. “I got put through the wringer recently, that’s for sure.”
His smile wavers just a bit, mouth parting in a curious sort of shock, before it stands firm again. He motions towards Toni’s eye on the scared side of her face. “I didn’t know you were blind in tha’ eye.”
“Yeah? Don’t tell me you’ve been startin’ fights? Heh.” Was it time for a third slice of pizza? Why yes. Yes it was. He pulls out another slice, this time picking slowly at the toppings first.
"It's recent." She says with a huff. "It was slowly going and my last tracking job got rough." Toni rubbed at it lightly. "Guess it could only take so many hits you know?"
"I'm fine though, I mean, Veser suggested some people to go to about getting it fixed or replaced but... I'm not sure I want to, or yet." Toni silenced herself buy stuffing food in her mouth.
“Well that’s frustrating… I wish I had known about not using the phone. I was all up in their business and they never even noticed till I called. Maybe we could have gotten the spring on them…” She glanced his way realized she couldn’t see him and turned so she could.
“Yeah. I can’t get a reply from my friends back home about what’s going on. Too busy with the war at the moment for little drug problems.” He shrugged. “Don’t be too hard on yourself. I should have told you to come back and let me know. Probably got you cause of my voice.”
Toni wrinkled her nose slightly. She couldn’t help but be a little hard. She rolled her shoulders back some and ran her hands over her hair with a soft groan. “Okay... okay.”
And though she got busted up last time, something in her was eager to go again.
“I have to say, it was fun... doing that kind of stuff again...”
“I’ll let Veser know and we can start invites when you have a date in mind.” She said as she finished her slice. “Oh, I can show off my bartending! Which really… isn’t all that fancy, but it’s better.”
“Sounds like a plan.” He’s nodding enthusiastically, thoroughly excited for this shindig to happen.
Miles leans over to give Toni a soft and playful slap, with the back of his hand, to her shoulder. He’s smiling warmly, with the teeniest hint of pride. “’Aaay, see! I’d told ya you’d get better at it in no time! Once ya get mixin’ down, you should start leanin’ how t’ do tricks an’ shit.”
It’s been years since I’ve drawn any real HINABN art, but I was just struck with the urge today. Hanna was there for me during the intense stress I was going through then, which I guess is why I’m reminded of him now.
What a nutty little optimist. Bless him.
