Okay, I saw someone else post a IANOWT theory similar to this one, but I can’t remember who it was (if it’s you, please let me know so I can tag you!!).

Does anyone else think that character of Jenny (the punk chick who was doing shots at the party and then was in detention with Sydney, Stan, Dina, and Brad) has to be someone special?? I feel like she just popped out of nowhere but then she continually keeps cropping up and being a jerk, and it seems really odd to me. Like, is she just out to be mean to Sydney just because she’s a bitch or is there something more to it? If I remember correctly the original theory post I saw said she might be a shapeshifter, which could explain the shadowy figure following Sydney.

Does anyone else think there’s more to her character or is that just me??

the reason for her existence is clear— her sleeping with brad and then teasing him about it is what caused syd to overhear them and tell dina that brad cheated, which is what caused dina to dump him, which then caused brad to have it out for syd and steal her diary, which then lead to his death (lmao, butterfly effect!).

that being said, i’m not sure about the shapeshifter theory, but i have a theory that if stan didn’t manage to pick up the diary at the dance in the post-brad’s death chaos, some of s2 may revolve around getting it back somehow, and i think she may end up being the person that stole it.

@gazebo-eds That’s a great point, I totally spaced that. 🤦‍♀️ And I’m not 100% down with the shapeshifter theory either, I just feel like there might be more to her than what we have seen. I really like your theory about her grabbing the diary in the chaos after Brad’s death! I definitely feel like that would be something she would do, and I’d be super interested in seeing Syd and Stan’s attempts to get it back. Here’s to hoping Stan was able to grab the diary!
