The thing that keeps messing me up is that, despite the fact that Ekko is faced with everything that he’s ever wanted, with every possible opportunity he could ever wish for, with the ability to actually be with the girl he’s wanted since he was a little kid, he still doesn’t hesitate for a second when he decides to leave. He’s so unconditionally selfless that when it comes to the moment, unlike a lot of others, he will always choose to do the right thing. Even when faced with temptation, he decides to save others instead of choosing the reality he has always wished for. Because he can, because it’s deeply rooted within him to do good. And despite all that he still loses the girl he loves.

Then fucking Singed gets his happy ending and Ekko doesn’t, I’m done.

I’ve seen way too many pro B*lly H*rgrove posts lately, so here is a list of common traits that are known to belong to abusers that also belong to that piece of shit:

Abusers often objectify their victim, or rather see them as their property. We see this a LOT throughout the show, but a specific example is how B*lly restricts Max from making other friends as such with Lucas (also tied with racism, but that’s another post)

An abuser often denies the existence of their abuse. Or rather, if I were to put it this way, B*lly sees absolutely NO reason to stop/minimize his abuse before Max puts a literal nailbat between his nuts.

Abusers tend to blame the victim for any unfortunate situation they find themselves in i.e. B*lly blaming Max for ending up in Hawkins despite it being none of her fault nor responsibility.

An abuser is often pleasant and charming outside of the abuse, appearing as nice to passerby people. This is why liking and excusing the behavior of B*lly is so dangerous. You admit that what B*lly did is wrong, but you excuse it. That is not okay.

When you excuse B*lly’s behavior because of his childhood and/or other circumstances, you are also excusing other abusers like him.

His childhood influences his behavior, but it doesn’t excuse it.

Stop supporting abusers like B*lly H*rgrove.

Don’t imagine Max waking up from her coma and Lucas finally, finally breaking down from the copious amount of stress, both emotional and and physical, that he’s been put through all this time, so much so that if you gave it a few years he would start having strands of graying hair. To know that all of his efforts weren’t futile, that Max is actually alive and that some parts of her old self remain within the pages of the countless amounts of books that he has read every day and night that he has stayed in that sickening hospital room. That his growing eye-bags and increasing back-pain all meant that Max would wake up and that she actually did, she did wake up. When the moment he finally lets the tears slip is another night of her recovering and she hugs him close and he just cries and cries. Max just holds on tight and says reassuring words, partly because she believes that there is nothing else she can do, and partly because she knows that that’s what he needs. So he for once let’s go and he cries his heart empty and hollow. He lets himself be vulnerable. Because he knows he can.

lumax headcanons bc my brain is stuck on lumax today:

the sinclair family is one of those families that makes all of their kids’ friends their own kids

especially when they realize how much stress max is under since moving to the trailer park

there are multiple occasions where lucas will come home from a basketball practice or a dnd campaign and max will just be chilling on his couch watching a movie with his family or playing a game with erica or something of that sort

(he loves this so much, btw. max just casually being a part of his family makes him so happy)

max is secretly such a simp for her boyfriend

lucas catches her staring all the time and just kinda laughs like “what?” 

bc he’s so pretty and sweet and perfect how can she not look at him all the time!

max wears lucas’ sweatshirts and hoodies all the time

and don’t even get me started on his jerseys

she wears his extra jersey at every basketball game

and she and dustin make these huge signs for the party to hold up

which lucas will pretend to be super embarrassed by but he loves it

lucas will read books to max whenever she’s tired

she loves dozing off to his voice

max makes lucas a spotify playlist for his birthday

it has a ton of kate bush songs on there as a bit of a joke but lucas really does love her music

lucas has a book of dad jokes that he pulls out and tells max whenever she’s sad

she groans and pretends to hate it

but really those dumb little jokes do cheer her up

and she loves seeing the smile on his face when he’s trying to cheer her up <3

max is like. a math WHIZ

and lucas is okay at math but not as good as her so she helps him with the concepts he doesn’t understand

and in turn he helps her with the science concepts she doesn’t understand

they watch chick flicks together because who doesn’t love romance

they both really love baking actually? it’s one of their favorite activities to do together

they really like making those cupcake cones where you bake cake mix into an ice cream cone

they always end up with icing and sprinkles on their faces and in their hair

lucas puts frosting on max’s nose and it always makes her laugh

whenever one of them has a bad day, they go on a drive

which often starts as pretty quiet but they eventually begin talking and open up about whatever happened/is bothering them

it’s just good for them to get out and clear their thoughts

lucas’s parents pay for max to get therapy to deal with all the trauma from billy and his death (and the upside down, but lucas’s parents don’t know that)

they both take french in school

(and they say i love you in french to each other all the time)

they talk about travelling all the time
