Not that it's a music reference or anything (Hell, Millia had Secret Garden as a move since X), but Angra ended up calling one of their more recent albums Secret Garden. Pretty funny coincidence.
To be perfectly honest it isn’t the first time bands have borrowed ideas from other bands. For the most part, we stick with the earliest references from the 1980s-90s on forward.
And GG is still chock full of references to obscure music that I myself haven’t had time to research. If people are still looking for soundalikes for the more modern Xrd tracks, I’d be happy for any scoops you find.
Oh I'm aware early GG's musical references come from 80s and 90s rock/metal and that any thing later is kinda stretching it. The album came out in 2014 and GGX came out in 2000 (01 in the states). I just thought it was interesting that Angra (of all bands) gave that album the same name as one of Millia's moves.
......also side note, "Heaven or Hell" can't come from the Gamma Ray song because that came out in 01'. By then GG had already used the term for two games.
