CW: nudity (not in an inherently sexual way), suggestive jokes and awkwardness due to nudity, talk about freezing to death, one bed trope
You almost shed a tear when you see it; the small abandoned cabin in a clearing in the vast woods. What are the chances you stumbled upon it?
Before thinking, you trudge through the snow, knee high and heavy, assuming the boys were following. If they werenât, so be it, they were the reason you were in the situation to begin with. It was only about a hundred feet to the front door, but this felt like the longest part of your journey thus far.Â
You peek through a window, trying to see if anyone was home, no one, no light, no smoke from the chimney. Hopefully whoever owned this cabin would understand the predicament your party was in.Â
You approach the door, pushing hard with no budge. You try and try again to no avail. A shivering hand reaches out next to you, you hear Sirius mutter a spell, and the door unlocks and swings open.
You all file in, stumbling over each other to get into the shelter.Â
You noted a small fireplace with wood once burnt long ago, a sofa in front. There was a little kitchenette, a small counter with a woodstove and some cabinets, hopefully filled with something to eat. A tiny table in the corner, two chairs. In the opposite corner, a bed. That was it. A tiny, one room cabin.
James closed the door behind you, all shaking and teeth chattering.
After a long day of slaying undead, you had hoped to exit the dungeon and head into the nearby village for some food and a bed in the inn. The gods obviously had different plans for your party.
The end of the dungeon led into a room full of loot; gold, jewels, shiny armor and weapons, scrolls upon scrolls of spells. You all stuffed your packs full of everything you could fit, but just as you were getting ready to head out, the floor disappeared from under you.
One of you must have triggered a trap, most likely James, his perception skill was the worst of the party. You fell for a beat before plunging into the coldest water you had ever felt, instantly sending shocks through you stronger than the evil mage you and the boys defeated last week.
The water connected to a river, the current flushing you downward and onto a riverbank somewhere. All four of you pulled yourself out of the icy water, coughing and spitting up what you inhaled. You looked around to see nothing but trees for miles under the moonlit sky. A thick blanket of snow coating the winter forest.Â
You tried to pull out your map, but the paper was soaked, the ink running and now entirely useless. You all decided that you had to find shelter, a cave or a bandit camp that you could clear out and take for the night. It was either that or die to the elements, and being the band of renowned heroes that you were, that would be the worst possible death, lame and no songs would be written about it.
You picked a direction, downriver, and headed that way, intent on finding shelter before you lost limbs to the cold.
And here you were, happy you weren't left to the freezing winter.
After scanning the room, you noted the bed. One. For the four of you.Â
James was trying to warm his hands, blowing into them, his breath a cloud in front of him even in the cabin. Sirius was worse, his robes clinging to him and he was still dripping onto the creaky floorboards. Remus wasnât fairing any better, you could see the redness in the tips of his ears and his nose. If you didnât think quickly, youâd all be in jeopardy of getting sick, of getting frostbit, losing a finger or toe.Â
Fuck it, you had to survive. You were all freezing and being the healer of the group, you were the only one here who knew basic survival medicine. Â
âO-Ok, hereâs t-the p-plan.â you stuttered through clattering teeth. âT-take your clothes off.â
The boys all looked at you like you had grown another head, like that hydra you fought a while back.
âWe h-have to,â you explained, âour clothes are s-soaked. We n-n-need to get them off so we can s-start warming up.âÂ
The boys still stood, shaking and dripping. Not moving an inch.
âDo you want to die?!â you yelled which seemed to kickstart them back into movement.Â
With trembling hands, they each started to remove armor and robes, undoing laces and buttons.Â
Sirius stopped his shaking movements after a moment to look at you wearing his signature too-smug grin. âIf you wanted to get my c-clothes off, all you had t-to do was ask, s-s-sweetheart.â
You rolled your eyes and James threw a boot at him. Nice to see that freezing didnât dampen their spirits.
You continued explaining your plan of survival to the boys.
âAfter our c-clothes are off, we need to g-get into the bed.â you said, unlacing your boots, taking your own time with your clothes, not really intent on getting naked in front of these boys. They were your friends, yes, some of your greatest friends even, and you trusted them with your life, but this was entirely different.
Sirius stopped again. âIt gets better,â he muttered.
âW-what!,â James squeaked. For being a knight dubbed âJames the Lion Heartâ, he sure was a baby about things. âCanât S-Sirius just conjure more beds?â
âIâm a battle mage, I only know b-battle spells, p-prick.â Sirius snipped.
âShut up you two!â you chidded, this was not the time for them to start bickering like idiots. âWe need to get in the same bed to sh-share body heat. Sirius, c-could you light a f-f-fire, get the room warm?â
Sirius nodded, his hand raised and he muttered the spell for a firebolt, igniting the once lit wood remaining in the ash-filled fireplace.Â
James waltzed over to the bed, lifting a blanket and moved to get in, finally start warming up. But before he could touch the sheets you stopped him.
âJames!â you called, he looked your way instantly. You shook your head, âall your clothes.âÂ
James looked down at himself where he was still wearing his soaked undergarments. âB-but,â he attempted to protest but you shook your head again. This was for survival, for the health and wellbeing of the party.Â
âTake your clothes off and set them in f-front of the fire to dry.â You commanded the boys. They followed your orders, grabbing their sopping clothes from the floor and laying them in front of the fireplace.
They were hesitant, standing there awkwardly, none wanting to be the first to strip.
âGet over yourselves.â you snapped and they all reluctantly shed their final strips of clothing.
You turned away to give them their privacy. You heard them all pad over to the bed, luckily you spied two thick and fluffy blankets on the edge, perfect for necessary warmth. You heard them stop, no one had gotten into the bed, all too busy looking at one another for help or answers or something. This was too weird, too awkward!
âGet in the b-bed, damnit!â you yelled.
You heard them groan and the bed creaked a little, shuffling and Sirius whining âI hate this.â
âYeah well, youâd hate being d-dead more.â You answered him. Once they were settled in the bed and stopped moving around, you deemed it safe to look. The three of them sat in the bed, blankets half on their bodies, propped against the headboard shoulder to shoulder.. Remus was in the middle, James to his left, Sirius to his right. âGet closer.â you said firmly.
Remusâs jaw dropped. âYou canât be serious.â
âCuddle now! And c-close your eyes so I can undress.â You said quickly. The fire was starting to radiate warmth throughout the cabin, but you were still in your heavy, drenched clothes, making your muscles shiver and contract uncontrollably.Â
The boys reluctantly scooted themselves together, making room for you even in the small bed. Once they were together and their eyes were shut, you undressed fully, taking your dripping clothes, wringing them out and setting them in front of the fire with the others.
You hesitated, yes you had been in countless embarrassing and unmentionable events with these three boys, but this has to be the worst by far.Â
It was either their warmth, or freezing solid, a tough choice really, but you were not going to let this small chill defeat you.Â
You loosed a shaky breath, gathered your dignity, and moved in closer to the bed. You pulled back the sheet covering your party members and hopped into the lumpy bed, trying your best to avoid eye contact with their⌠other party members.Â
Your freezing body awkwardly slid against Siriusâs, his skin cold to the touch. You wrapped extra cloth of the blanket around your body, shielding your naked form from both the cold and from the boy's view.Â
The boys opened their eyes once you stopped moving around and they felt you in bed along with them, deeming it safe enough.
The four of you sat there in silence, not willing to be the first to break the uncomfortable silence.Â
âNo one speaks a word of this, ever,â you said, shivering less and less by the second, âunderstood?â
James nodded and Remus muttered out a tired, âunderstood.â
It was Sirius who wore the smug look on his face, cold be damned. âWhat,â he laughed, âyou don't want The Guild to hear the legendary tales of you getting the three charming heroes of your party naked in your bed?â
Remus reached over and smacked Sirius upside the head, you thanked him while rolling your eyes.Â
You had half a mind to throw Siriusâs clothes into the fire once he fell asleep, but that wouldnât deter him, he would proudly walk into town completely nude, loving the attention it brought from the fair maidens and the laughs it would bring at the tavern.
this one is quite silly but...
