”She will be so happy to hear that, haha,” he laughed, voice gentle as he snatched a quick bite himself, the frosting coating his cheeks before he reduced the sound of the television a little. In truth, even Percy didn’t appreciate loud sounds.
Well, not the greek monster screeching level, at least. He leaned back casually on the couch, resting his head back while his sleepy eyes rid slumber bit by bit. It was oddly very tiring today, though he knew he was enthused about watching a movie and explaining it to Nico at most. “Okay, let me see…”
He flipped over some channels, the occasional sounds of people reporting weather, sports and what not passing and being cut off mid-way, until the sound of intense music filled the room. A modern movie depicting oldern times was playing, the boy assumed. He read the name over and smiled some, figuring perhaps Nico would enjoy it.
“Ever heard of Noah? You see, it’s about this dude and his animal party ship…” and he trailed on.
Nico wrinkled his nose a tiny bit but the tiniest of smiles was still locked on his lips. "Well I know about the biblical tale, more or less" he explained, "I heard about it somewhere- the guy who had to get a male and a female of each species in a single boat to save them from a massive flood, right?"
He wasn't big on biblical tales but he did recall a story about someone called Noah and a boat. Hazel had said something about it sometime, he thought, though he didn't know much about it.
With a content sigh, the ghost King sat back on his spot and waited for Percy to explain more things. He had gotten used to that, to the son of Poseidon narrating the world to him, and he liked it so much any excuse was good enough to ask him about it. It was both cute and very interesting to hear the world through him, to try to imagine things as Percy said them, from the color of the sky at a certain time of the evening to the argument of silly action movies, and he loved it specially because his friend had an eye for the small things.
He'd often describe the little gestures on an actor's face in a very emotional scene, or the way someone's clothes crinkled as they sat down, or even how his own hair got swept to a side on windy days- it felt sweet and it helped Nico feel more comfortable and at ease with his own condition, which was something he couldn't be thankful enough for to the son of Poseidon.
His expression softened as he took the last bite of his cookie and relaxed against the couch. "Let's watch that one, if you like it"
