Okay but just. The Verstave pose. I am so murdered by it. The intimacy of it. The gentleness of it. The hesitance. The QUESTION being asked in body language. The look in Gustave's eyes and and the way Verso is looking at his lips. Gustave's fingers tangled in Verso's shirt, as though he's about to pull him in the rest of the way. The way Verso's nose looks like it could juuust barely brush against Gustave's, another gentle intimacy.

It's the heartbeat just before the kiss. It's that moment, suspended in time, before everything changes forever, and they want to linger in it and end it, all at the same time.

Gustave tugs just a little harder on Verso's shirt and tips his chin up a fraction and Verso's lips are starting to curl into a smile that might have been his name if he'd allowed the word to escape, but instead Gustave is melting into the hot press of Verso's lips, and the hand that has come to rest on his lower back, pulling him in closer as they kiss and kiss and kiss, until they finally have to break apart for air.

And a soft little giggle escapes them both as they stay close, as they lean in and press their foreheads together. Their lips are pink and wet, and they're like magnets, slowly drawing each other in again, and again.

Every time gets easier to lean in, and harder to leave, but it's worth it, it's worth it, it's so, so, so worth it, to swallow every whisper of each other's names with one more kiss, just one more, only one more…
