What is your favorite childhood memory? Oh man… um… okay I don’t know about favorite but I have this vivid memory of being taken to surgery in a red wagon, with a glove ‘balloon’ with a face on it and a Raggedy Anne and Andy blanket.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Do you do something close to that now? A pilot. But I was/am blind as a bat and no one was going to let me control an airplane. I know… the Air Force told me so.
If someone told you to “draw a scientist,” what would you draw? Me in goggles and a lab coat.
Do you paint or manicure your nails? I barely manage not to bite my nails.
Do you like paint-by-numbers? I have so little artistic ability… not even this much. Seriously. I do enjoy the app based version.
What was your first date like? Or, describe your ideal date! I am pretty sure we went to a school dance.
What’s one silly/non-serious thing you regret? I don’t really do regret but… the crunchy perm in the 8th grade was a bad idea in retrospect.
What comes to mind first when you think of the word “animals”? Oz on Buffy the Vampire Slayer musing about why the money is the only animal cracker with clothes.
What’s your go-to laundry day outfit? Yoga pants and a snarky tank top. But to be fair that’s what I wear most of the time that isn’t work.
Do you carry a purse or a bag regularly? What does it look like? Yes. For a long time it was a basic black hip pack. And I’d like to get back to that. But at the moment it’s a black leather shoulder bag. I also occasionally need to travel with ALL my work tech and that requires a grey laptop backpack.
Do you get second-hand embarrassment from people? No. But I do get second hand anxiety.
Best pasta shape? Angel hair. But also those tiny pastina things.
Do you consider yourself a gamer? If so, what kinds of games do you play? Only if writing RPGs on LJ and IJ count. Or Tetris, I killed at Tetris in the 90s.
