while i wasn't initially interest in chasca, i saw these and of course thought of him (childe centered fan sorry) except he didn't get to receive any support at all and the effects of the abyss on childe were pretty vague to him developing uncontrollable battlelust + him embracing the dehumanization of his identity in some way (if i didn't miss anything directly stated about that aspect of him in game.) i wonder if he canonically experiences the same things said about chasca here in regards with preferring to be with nonhumans and the injuries (??? what else could that mean aside from implied sh). i mean most likely he does too, it'd just be nice to have canon confirmation. or idk maybe not if he's too busy with his tasks in the fatui.

i wish they talked about his more openly too, but i guess no one in his life we've seen yet has witnessed him during those moments to tell us about it lmao

i genuinely don't get transfem childe highkey. like i understand it's probably just bc he's trans coded despite being textually a cis man but like. that's the most transmasc transmasc ever to transmasc. mf has socialized as a girl energy. probably cuz he was originally a girl in beta and it seems like hoyoverse decided to make him a guy pretty late into his writing but idk. he's literally metatextually a trans guy like 😭

also mind u this is coming from the guy who will die on the hill of shadow the hedgehog, zane julien, and error sans being transfem so the fact that even i don't see it is kinda saying something i think.

i do think arle trusts childe, based on her voice line abt him it seems like she considers him relatively harmless

though it is interesting bc childe is incredibly paranoid towards her

tbf he says in the same sentence that it's because she's disloyal to the tsaritsa. it seems after the fontaine archon quest and arlecchino's story quest they start getting closer, likely cuz they actually get a chance to talk to eachother, and it gets to the point that they go to the theater together at some point (wall paper) and childe actively seeks arlecchino out to tell her about skirk and the abyss in one of the skirk trailers so. yeah i'd say they're friends, especially considering the only other character we know for sure he told about that (besides maybe his parents) is the traveler and he definitely thinks he's friends with the traveler. and i mean he gave her more detail than he gave the traveler too so. yes they're friends and it seems like they trust eachother at least now.

also i think childe would probably consent to being made into a cake ngl i think he'd enjoy it.

i don't get what was the point of him rudely ignoring the people in fontaine he's collecting debt(?) from, which he talked to first mind you, and then telling them to fuck off for now because he has to catch up with traveler first 😭 is this supposed to make traveler feel special why do you have to be a bitch about it
