practicing line art more to finally be happy with how i draw n gin and n brio. There is no story behind these. I just like to imagine that n gin randomly passes out due to the rocket, his existence is pure suffering but he don't care

This is a version that stays fairly close to the source material; while it incorporates a few ideas from the film adaptations (1990/2017), the majority of elements, such as the time period, personalities, and appearances, are drawn from the book.

I took detailed notes on the characters' physical traits, and this is the result.

Here are the key characters (excluding the adults), rendered in a style that is more angular and "ugly"... Perhaps even a bit unsettling.
