For some reason only now that I'm so deep into finalizing the first 20 pages of the CB fancomic I'm starting to see all the plot-related flaws and absurdities... But I'm trying to be more lenient about them because let's face it, the whole premise of Crash Bandicoot is so absurd and cartoony to begin with.

Fingers crossed that my writing won't end up being too jarring.

Crash, being a lazy and mischievous surfer with a huge heart, loves eating his fruit, pancakes, and drinking iced wumpa tea. Within this universe, Crash can talk, and he was quite disappointed with the true size of those "powerful and dangerous crystals," talking about it for an entire week. The most liberating moment of his entire life was when he replaced all that fancy general's outfit he wore in the castle with patched blue shorts, but kept the gloves, boots, and belt just like Coco and Tawna. It was more practical for running through the forest without stepping on twigs and carrying important things to save the world.

Sometimes Crash can be less silly and have an ironic and acidic sense of humor like his teenage sister. Coco is a prodigy, and although she loves discovering mysteries about the forest and the tribe, she often prefers to find out right there on her computer. She spends most of her time in her laboratory, figuring out how to recycle all the scientists' waste to help with daily life and protect the islands. Coco drinks a lot of tea, of various kinds, each believing it's suitable for every occasion. Sometimes she seems quite addicted. She fled the castle before she was old enough to replace Crash as commander of the army, and got rid of those elaborate hats and hairstyles.

Sometimes Coco leaves home for the woods, accompanied by Tawna, a lover of stories, books, and legends. She was Crash's inspiration for becoming the mischievous boy he is today. As children, Tawna was only slightly older than the silly marsupial, and was always getting into mischief and playing pranks on the scientists. She was untamable; nobody could catch her or put her through tests. She was independent and funny, and Crash loved that about her. Today, she is responsible for welcoming and helping all the runaway or quitter mutants to create a small civilization on Wumpa Island. Dingodile, Megumi, Liz, Ami, Isabella, Pinstripe, the Komodo twins, Koala Kong—all were helpless before Tawna took the lead in solving the problem.

Aku Aku is a spirit sorcerer over a thousand years old. He is like a father to the bandicoots and uses his magic to protect them during dangerous journeys. He lives in a tree between the tribe's path and his children's home. He enjoys spending time with Tawna because she seems more mature than the quarrelsome brothers.

I was inspired to finish the drawing this morning when I surprisingly received a drawing of my Nina, made by one of the artists I admire very much. So here is the final result ⚙️🌺🧡

It turned out so cool Fer!!!! I couldn't help it, Crash Bandicoot and steampunk asthetic is such a good combo, and your choice of outfits for the characters are just *chef's kiss*, they are different yet still stay true to their OG looks. With Nina going through the biggest change, I'm curious to find out what's her role in this universe. I'm looking forward to see more of this AU X3
