Help for a Mother-to-be

*** Posting this on behalf of my cousin who is struggling with two jobs and will soon be a single mother. Share if you can, and thank you.

I am 12 week(3 months) pregnant and in a little less than 9 months, I will be a mother. This should be a joyous occasion however I am afraid and alone. The father of my child was someone I truly cared about and I thought he cared the same way but I was mistaken. 

When I told him of the pregnancy he became rude and belligerent. The father of my child decided that if I didn’t get an abortion that I should never speak to him or even tell his child that he exists. He threw me out  of his house , where i was residing at the time, and told me it was not in his nature to help people and that he was done. 

I slept in my car for a few weeks, then checked into a homeless shelter. My family did not want me to stay there and told me to come back home. I know they love me and support me but I am a burden to them. There is no room for me to stay because my parents have little children so I sleep on the couch, but as my belly continues to grow I continue to become even more uncomfortable on the couch and I don’t want to take food out of their children’s mouths. 

When I get up in the morning I go to my 1st job which is on another side of Houston. After I leave there I got to my 2nd job which is 35 minutes from my first job, then drive back to the Southwest side of town from Spring, Texas. The pregnancy has me really tired, but I am determined to work until I am full term. With the money I make for both jobs combined I still can barely afford my car note, gas, and other maintenance to my car let alone rent, and bills. I don’t usually ask for help because I am prideful and stubborn. 

Those who know me know that I have slept on the street and ate when I could while I struggled through college but I realized I don’t want me child to have that type of life but a better one. I just pray that you find it in your heart today to help fund my child’s future by helping raise the $5,000 which would aid in a deposit/rent/bill assistance for an apartment gas to and from doctor’s appointments  as well as the essential items for my baby such as a car seat, bed, bottles, diapers, etc. 

I just want my child to have love ,support, and their best chance in this world. Thank you for your time and consideration. May God continue to bless you and your family.
